I just had to say it and will probably say it again I love psychedelics. They have to be the best "drug" in the world. You can gain so much from using them responsibly. I really do not think they are addictive and can change your life for the better. I love seeing threads on here about how psychs changed someones lives for the better.
In the last year I have made amazing advancements in my life and with my family. I used to be all about acquiring more, and fitting into societies mold. Now I am a totally different person and for the better. I am more spiritual, healthier, financially stable, ( believe it or not I was living beyond my means and was making a insane amount of money) in love, spend more time with family, know and understand myself. Understand more about people. Make more time for friends and family, Matured as a adult. The list could go on and on. Thanks Blue Light. :)

they do seem to be the only type of drugs that CAN have a positive impact on peoples lives. I still think they probably dont most of the time though.

They're good because they dont just make you feel happy when you're feeling down like other drugs so they dont have anywhere near as much potential for abuse or as bad a come-down.

They also feel valuale afterwards unlike other drugs which are just like 'yeah I felt all happy/loved up at the time but it was completely artificial and now I feel worse than before.

THAT is why the system doesnt want us doing psyches, it helps us see through their shite!

What a great post Godz, made me smile lotsly! =D

I mean what about responsible stimulant use for people who have ADD/ADHD, or responsible opiate use for people who have chronic pain and now can be just as productive as they once were. I find it silly to think that psychedelics are the only drug that can have a positive impact on people.

Saying that though I will say that psychedelics are an amazing tool if one wants to learn more about themselves and or if someone wants to gain new perspectives on life/spirituality/philosophy. Even with all that I still feel that most of what someone learns while under the influence of psychedelics could be learned without the aid of them, psychedelics just help bring to your attention things that would not be otherwise noticed. Just my two cents though.

Blue lighters are awesome and increadable people.
Especially the people that are constantly on the psychedelic forum..
( don't tell the others. Lol )

Pss I think the other guy was referring to recreational drugs. Not prescribed pharmaceutical.meds to treat medical conditions. And let me tell ya those pills are not only usually abused but overprescribed. I.see patients all the time on a list of 15-20 meds and they might truly only need three of them.

If it makes you feel good to hear it, I have talked to a couple people that are married with families at this point but they definitely indulged in the psychedelic stuff..... The people who were into these sorts of things when they were younger turned out to be generally pretty awesome people.

Yeah I meant recreational use of drugs. Of course medication has a positive impact on people's lives.

If we're going to get technical I guess my statement was an over-generalisation. There are probably people out there whose lives are improved by even the shittiest drugs (like alcohol).

I guess I should have said psychedelics seem to be the only class of recreational drugs that have a positive impact on the mental and spiritual wellbeing of a decent percentage of their users.
