Ive already put money aside for a ticket..Who else is going?

Its so fucking annoying that they have them one after the other in perth! I will be at both this time. Last time I did both it almosted killed me!

i remember one time i went from a korn concert to a transmission, talk about different worlds!!!

those were the days!!!

i got half chubb when i saw this line up... i knew chemical brothers were doing it... but pendulum, presets, AvS, Mark Ronson... fuck yeah!!!

i cant wait... i have already purchased my tickets and all i gotta do is go pick them up... BOOOOO YETIIIIII

* bump *

Did anyone get to the Brisbane show on Saturday? It was a heap of fun if a bit of a mud-fest.... *stomps about in knee deep sludge* =D

If anyone's heading to the Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide shows next weekend then I can't recommend Leftfield enough! Amazing performance. Pendulum and Chemical Brothers were great too and I've been told Richie Hawtin went off.

Thanks for the bump B, Totally forgot i made this thread.

I didn't even end up going, but Ive already heard bad reviews. Mainly about the venue, not so much the acts.

^ haha yeh logistically a nightmare, but last year's was just as bad. I just gave up on trying to stay clean the second I got in. Sometimes you just have to embrace the filth \m/ I wonder how many people will be getting tetanus shots today though lol?

not going.

as much as i have loved the chemical brothers live, having seen them twice every tour since 2000 (about 8 times, i think), i think i'm done with them.

as for all those other acts, i'm an old fuck who couldn't name a single song among them all. it's the same with the bdo. oh well.

I decided to go to the Brissy show last minute. Really glad I did!

Great fun in the mud. Knew it would be like it as was exact same last year except last year it pissed down with rain too and this time was much more pleasant.

Dizzee was the king of the show in my opinion but enjoyed mostly everyone else too on the two main stages. In fact the little club style tents were great for a bit of a break too. Everyone was having fun and I didn't see anyone on a negative buzz.

Chemical Brothers were boring IMHO but I've seen them plenty of times before so that didn't phase me.

Worst part was stupidly trying to get a train to the event instead of a taxi..... The thing was full as you would expect with Future goers so that part was fun. Apparently someone kept pressing the emergency button so the train kept waiting at each station for like half an hour. It was ridiculous. Surely they have contingency plans for things like that??? There were thousands of people on a train that should have taken 30 mins and it took 2 hours!!! I missed Keisha... Well, that is to say my girlfriend missed Keisha! haha.

The trick to buying an $8 beer was to go to the smaller stages and not line up at the main stage area. I learnt that lesson after waiting 40 mins for my first one!

All in all a great day, great times, great friends, great mud (barefeet is the way to go! wrap your thongs around your ankles and hope for the best!). An all around great day. Although I'm definitely taking it easy for a while now.... I'm not as young as I used to be.

:X
I would have been one very pissed off commuter on that train and want to find the bunch who thought that was a hilarious idea and kick them off

/end old person's rant

it was pretty wild, there was too many people at that venue. pendulum clashed with the chemical brothers, that was pretty lame. i left halfway through pendulums set to make it to the chemical brothers, they played all their best shit first anyways.

mgmt, pendulum and the chemical brothers all put on a fucking good show in my opinion, and thats who i was there to see.

so many drunk fuckheads though, can definatly see a change in people with no decent flippers around ;)

i've got a photo of chopsy from a few futures ago where he is concerningly happy after being pissed on by a random.

i blame you for that...

not because i was standing where i was standing... but for providing me something where i couldnt even walk inside the grand stand becauase i could not negoiate the ugly carpet!

wait, did i say i'm skipping chem bros? well, went for a walk at around nine, bumped into a $20 ticket by chance and got in 5 mins before they came on. good value.

my ears are ringin pretty bad now

the show was alright. the come with us and push the button tours were when they peaked. really bloody loud in the entertainment centre. good thing i live less than 10 mins walk from it. can't complain for twenty bucks. had enough change for a t-shirt.
