It seems like the battle is never-ending when it comes to people's preference of generic or brand name prescription. But this is specific to the Roxicodone manufacturers I've had personal experience with.

I've been prescribed Malincrodt brand Roxicodone, and taking them felt just taking water. Then my doctor later on confirmed that statement. I got my pharmacy to change one of my unopened bottles to their other brand "Activis". Those seemed better, but still not what I remember them being back when I got them from the CVS pharmacy when they were another brand. However, now when I go to CVS, they don't have them in stock and they are very backordered.

Has anyone else faced this inability to fill their 30mg Roxicodone? Or felt the Activis or Malincrodt brands were junk?

My mistake, thank you for informing me.

My larger question was just, does anyone have experience with Activis brand Roxicodone? And are they as bad as I think they are? Or is my tolerance just through the roof?

If they are instant release formulas carrying the same amount of active drug then there is no difference between what you will feel. If you are in doubt then grind up the pills and dissolve them in water before ingesting them and you won't be able to blame slightly different amounts of inactive ingredients.

yeah a 30mg oxy has 30mg every time. one brand doesnt put more in to make theirs "better". tolerance is a bitch.

I Have a PharmD in the family and he has told us that with generic meds, the amount of active ingredient can vary by ten percent. That could be the reason why meds from diff manufactureres feel stronger or weaker. Personally, I have had three different types of 30mg roxicodone pills. the least effectie for me had a V on them, second had an A215 and the most effective ones had an M. I didnt know there could be a variance and it would clearly be small, in this case plus or minus three mg. but if one has an additional 3mg and one has 3mg less thats a complete difference of 6mg and I think that could very well make a difference in how effective they are.
