Hey,

So I'm new here, and before I say anything, I need clarification on the rules and regulations. It basically said that any discussion of illegal activites (ie - doing drugs) will not be tolerated. So how exactly can you run a drug forum if you can't talk about drugs? Wouldn't mind some clarification from a mod or admin before I continue posting.

We are a harm reduction board so we aim to reduce as much harm as possible. This includes keeping our members out of jail and our site from being shut down :D Basically just be smart when talking about your own drug use. Information on how you just scored 500 bottles of oxycodone for cheap is inappropriate, while asking about the safest way to shoot oxycotin IR or if it is safe to drink booze while on opiates is fine.

Different forums will have different rules and a lot of stuff is handled on a case by case basis depending on context etc. as well, so if you are unsure just ask a mod before posting.

It's all common sense, really; You wouldn't go around telling people of the bricks you just picked up or how you slang a zip a day in public.

And another Canadian brother. Where abouts man? I'm from Montreal.

Canada. We get milk in bags.

Ontario, about an hour from Toronto.

And I just had a glass of milk... came straight from a bag =D

And @amapola, that makes sense. I don't do anything too hardcore anyways, so I doubt I need to worry. :)

Yes harm reduction is our motto......we are not a drug website. No sourcing/no synth discussion/etc. Talking with like minded folks who might help save your life is why we are here.

Welcome to Bluelight :)

if this is a rehab site, i've been coming to the wrong place for 7 years. ;)

from the FAQ:

What is Bluelight?

Bluelight (www.bluelight.ru) is an international message board that educates the public about responsible drug use (with a focus on MDMA) by promoting free discussion. We advocate harm reduction and attempt to eliminate misinformation. Bluelight is funded by private donations and maintained by a team of volunteers.

Bluelight does not condone or condemn the use of illegal drugs. Bluelight is a place for people to ask questions and educate themselves about drugs so they can make more informed decisions regarding their personal use. Other programs that advocate complete abstinence have had limited success, so Bluelight anticipates that people will continue to use illegal drugs regardless of the potential health or legal consequences. We want to encourage people to take personal responsibility for the choices they make regarding their drug consumption.

Harm reduction is the practice of taking reasonable measures to minimize the risks from drug use. Common harm reduction activities include encouraging people to exercise moderation in their drug consumption and to understand the purity, dose and effects of the drug they are consuming. There is no such thing as safe drug use, but if someone is educated in the general principles of harm reduction, they increase the odds that their drug use will not lead to short-term disasters or long-term negative consequences.

Beyond harm reduction, Bluelight also seeks to educate the public about drugs by summarizing whatever information is known about a subject. Bluelight aims to deliver accurate information in an easy to understand manner that emphasizes safety. We also try to eliminate misinformation whether it exaggerates or understates the danger. If facts are unavailable, then honest anecdotal stories can provide useful information so people have an idea of what to expect.

Since Bluelight seeks to reach the widest possible audience, we take a balanced approach that allows the discussion of both the positive and negative aspects of drug use. We believe that education and harm reduction are more effective than using scare tactics or exaggerating negative claims. Anyone looking through our site will be able to find examples of irresponsible behavior, but we believe it does not glorify recklessness but instead reinforces the idea that people need to be more cautious. Everyone is encouraged to candidly discuss past experiences and ask any questions they might have.

No not a rehab site though we do have support threads and forums for people looking for support kicking habits. I suppose you could split the site into three aspects of drug use.

The first is completely unrelated to drugs like philosophy, science and technology, healthy living, words, etc.

The second is drug culture which is chatting about why people become addicted to drugs, drugs in the media, funny drug jokes etc.

The third and most controversial is access to information on drugs. This includes effects, proper dosages, safe techniques, drug combination interactions, basically any information that a drug user should have access to in order to make a properly informed decision about what they are putting into their body. Think of it is as promoting practicing safe sex instead of preaching abstinence.

Just go browse through some of our drug forums and you'll get a feel for it quickly.

edit:
Hey TheDexMan just so you know we definitely appreciate you asking these questions as opposed to the alternative which is people who just show up asking where to get some free droogz :)

Albeit it did turn up summarized quite nicely in the F&Q which Felix found for us...he probably wrote it himself and is just trying to get it out there ;)

grouped under the 'Community' section. mostly.

a LOT of people -- myself included -- come here to find out if thar's heroin in their pills (there isn't), and stay for the community.

Hmm... I think I get it.

So before I start posting, I'll throw out a few hypotheticals.

So... posting a personal experience while on dxm (aka the inspiration for my username) so as to inform newbies of what the effects are is good?

But posting how I just scored a bunch of weed for really cheap would be bad?

(again, these are hypotheticals)

The main issue I want answered is: is it okay to post trip stories? That's the main reason I signed up, because I want to know if anyone has had similar experiences to mine, as mine tend to be... odd, at times.

Again, sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to be banned for doing something that I didn't know was wrong. :\
