I am prescribed Adderall, 20mg #60 1-2x day. Recently, I received a new prescription from my doctor, however, the quantity was wrong. It was 30 instead of 60. I live 5 hrs away from my doctor and didn't realize this until I got home. So I called him and he mailed me a new prescription for the proper amount of 60, w/ I filled. I'm starting to wonder if I could fill the incorrect qty 30 adderall script. It will expire soon and I don't want to see it go to waste w/ is why I started thinking of this. I live in Texas, and I wouldn't be filling it at the same pharmacy nor would I pay w/ insurance. Presumably, there appears to be no problem, but at the same time I am worried that other legal factors regarding doctor and pharmacy reporting of controlled substances could wreck me. Furthermore, I really like this doctor and don't want to do anything to put him at risk. Any thoughts?

i wouldn't take your chance, who knows maybe he knows you have both and is seeing if you try anything funny. before i got adderall i tried stratera and others before so my doc trusted me...don't get greedy, those are the ones who go down.

yea i thought of the same thing, I'm sure my doc trusts me, I've been w/ him for 2 years, but who knows

oohh okay. and if he's never had a problem with you using drugs, like given you drug tests that is less likely anything would happen...but i'd say use a different pharmacy, no insurance, and pay cash.

still i would be hesitant.

off topic but that stratera is some wonky ass shit, i had my first wet dream at age 30 when my doc had me on that, i would bust a nut and not feel anything,

someone would criticize me , i would cry like a bitch,

the only good thing it ever did for me, is im not a morning person, i would wake up at 5 am almost every day i was on that stuff

when i told my doc about how i didnt think it was helping shes like what do you want to try concerta or some speed, im like uhhh is this a trick question 8)

i told him i wanted something that was the safest, such as straterra, i'm sure when he heard me say that he was like hmmm maybe this guy isn't looking for meds just to abuse (which im not i do use them and need them)

I'd be a little afraid of doing it because it is a schedule II drug. They are up there. If it were a schedule IV or even III, maybe I'd consider if I thought I could do it, but schedule II's, I don't know. Don't know about the legality of it exactly.

i would say dont push your luck buddie are 30 pills worth some shit you dont need phchologicly if discovered. Also doctors do test you at times to see if you wanna abuse meds just air on the side of caution buddie.

good point, being a II i wouldn't risk it, they much more closely monitored. and if they do call the doc to verify, which they often do at the pharmacy i work at...then he'd be like :X

Just curious, do they ever call the doc to verify say III's or IV's?

Yea the whole CII substance title kinda rattles me. I did search for some info just out of curiosity and if a doctor replaces a CII prescription, he's gotta report the replacement that same exact business day, whether or not the new prescription is in the pts. hands already. Pharmacies have to record and periodically notify TX DPS of all CIIs they fill. Hence, if a Dr. reported a replacement, and someone (like me) tries to use that replaced script, DPS sees the discrepancy, says wtf, and now I'm in trouble.

Regarding Straterra, I've never tried it. I've been off/on adderall since I was a/b 8. When I was in high school, I was sick of the stuff so asked my Dr. if I could switch to straterra or concerta. He said they were nowhere near as effective as addy or the amphetamines in general. I'm pretty sure that's false, cuz I've read it all depends on the individual... Amphetamine works better in some, while methylphenidates better in others.

no u will be fine unless the state has a law(i know some states were trying to do this..but i dont know if it ever happened) where all pharmacies share databases. You wont get into any trouble, ive done that before and its fine if your at two different pharmacies

What you're wanting to do is definitely illegal, and does carry risk.

A script for a CII substance there is only valid for 21 days from the date written on it, so if its been longer than that it would definitely raise eyebrows. If its been less than that, you really have no recourse to plead ignorance about it if caught.

One small #30 prescription of adderall isn't worth being branded a drug-seeker for the rest of your life. Don't do it.
