Hi I was wondering if taking benadryll and grapfruit juice potentiate heroin if ur moa is intranaslly? I've heard it does and doesnt

ROA shouldn't make that big of a difference, diphenhydramine will potentiate heroin no matter how you ingest it.

I would recommend taking the diphenhydramine 30-40 minutes before you plan on blowing your H so it's kicking in when the H does. 25mg is a good starting dose.

Not exactly sure about the grapefruit juice, but if it helps with oral/IV route it should help with the intranasal route. Maybe somebody with more H experience can chime in?

Grapefruit and diphenhydramine work by inhibiting the enzymes in your liver from cleaning the active compounds out of your blood. This is not effected by the route of administration though it may be more apparent if you do ingest it as first pass metabolism is inhibited.

Potentiators that effect absorption (usually by changing pH levels) would rely on the ROA.

The main purpose of using diphenhydramine with opiates is the drowsiness it causes. You either use it to make the nod stronger or just as an anti-histamine (to kill nausea, itch, etc). If you're aiming for CYP2D6 inhibition then you use something better like cimetidine. Also worth noting is that if you're using enzyme inhibitors, the opiate must be ingested orally to get the desired effects of the inhibition on the opiate.

Yeah diphenhydramine isn't really used as an enzyme inhibitor when it comes to Heroin. Like starshowers said it is more for the sedative effects it causes. Also, it is a good anti-histamine so it helps with the itches and pins and needles you sometimes get when shooting heroin/morphine.

I love diphenhydramine. I took 75mg an hour ago and did a shot of heroin 15 minutes ago. The two go together like BERT AND ERNIE!!!!11

This is contrasting what amapola said and what I believe about the subject, can you substantiate it? If the potentiation occurs via liver enzyme inhibition/induction, why would ROA matter? The drugs get to the liver for metabolism regardless of how they're ingested.

As others have said, diacetylmorphine isn't metabolized by CYP4503A4 so GFJ won't potentiate at all and diphenhydramine will more so potentiate (really synergize, the terms are used near-interchangeably here) due to the sedation diphenhydramine produces.
