Difference between LSD and Shrooms visuals

At this point of my life, I've only tried shrooms, as far as psychedelics goes. I have never tried acid, but I will in the near future which I'm EXTREMELY excited for by the way =D. I was wondering what were the differences between LSD visuals and Shroom visuals because from what I've heard, LSD (obviously) isn't all about unicorns and pink elephants. I've only read it being like geometric patterns, brighter colors, walls/faces/etc. morphing, and so on. That sounds A LOT like what I experience on shrooms. I do end up seeing things that aren't there but to a degree.

So with anyone that has experience with these two drugs, can you help me differentiate between the two? Or is it very similar to each other (which I'm sure it's definitely not)?

the main difference for me is unless eat a lot of mushrooms my visuals are not crazy, everything just looks really pretty but nothing is wiggling around or changes exactly until I dose really high. Acid for me gives a lot more crazy twisting bulging stuff changing size and blowing up real big, lights will have halos and colors are fucking intense. When I start coming up on acid I can always tell its working when I go into a room with a different light scene or go outside into the sun or something everything has a colorful hue to it, cant really explain that well.

Its really all about dose! The higher the more intense. With mushies for me at least everything is more natural looking, unlike L, everything looks more crisp and well defined. I haven't dosed L for over ten years but I can remember as if it was yesterday.
My most intense L visuals were seeing all my friends faces in double vision, looked like they had some sort of helmet on but it was their faces flipped upside down meeting at the foreheads, insane ill tell yeah, but not as much as your shadow turning into "Super Pollo" following you around and making this wierd "Tah-dah" type noise while making a funny posture everytime you looked at it.
On shrooms the visuals can be just as intense but more of a mindfuck so I don't like to dose too high, especially around the ol' lady! Don't get me wrong can hold my mushies but gets pretty intense at times.

Okay, I'm starting to get the picture a little bit better. So far, I feel like LSD is going to win in that department. Especially with that whole face thing you were explaining skinwalker hahaha.

My first and only time taking shrooms was at my friends house, and I remember watching tv (even my friend that was next to me) and all the faces were turning from completely old and wrinkly to young, and shrink as if I were looking at everything through a glass cup. Thats mainly what I saw, shrinkage/disappearing of certain body parts/morphing/and that kaleidoscope thing I mentioned with the glass cup.

It was great and mind blowing, but it didn't give me the wow factor I was hoping to get from what I've heard about shrooms. Hopefully acid will blow me the fuck away :D

I was looking at a painting on mushrooms this past weekend. It depicted water drops running down it. When I started tripping, the water actually looked like it was dripping from the canvas. It was an excellent painting by a psychedelic enthusiast.

ive only done acid once and never done shrooms but with acid, i took 1 and a half tabs and my visuals were SUPER intense. people had rainbow halo around them, the sky had twisting patterns of color and would change hue, my paper i was drawing on was covered in a pattern of tiny golden dragons which were golden/holographic looking and very very vivid and detailed. the most memorable was looking into some white and grayish tree bark, it appeared to be blue and made of creatures that resembled those in avatar, they were all pulling on each other legs and arms very sexually kind of, their heads were all around one point which they were all rotating around, they were also incredible detailed, i could see their mouths and faces moving and stuff. it was fucking ridiculous.
sounds to me like shrooms visuals are very different.

hmm
im going to go against the flow here and say that at least in my case shrooms are a bit more visual, at least at the lower end of the dose spectrum, where i experimented.
with shrooms, it seems the visuals can look out of this world, like a doorway was opened that pours into this world. on 3g of cubensis i remember looking at the sky for hours, and not only at the normal stars, but also a whole mythical world in between. it was a visual expression of my imagination
on 3 1/2 hits of acid (alex grey print) which is admittedly a normal dose, i felt wonderful, but nothing new was added in the visual field. halos, colors, crispness, morphing yes, but it all seemed to be like a lens for this world. its a bit difficult to explain, but my brain seems to be better wired to enjoy tryptamines...
however, everyone is different, and set, setting and expectations are waay more important than what we here can tell you.
enjoy!

Putting qualitative differences aside for a moment, for me the most striking difference between the two is at what intensity of mental effects do comparable visuals occur. Shrooms seem to require a much more intense trip to get strong visuals. With acid, I find the visuals manifest at a level where I'm still relatively coherent. I guess I'm saying LSD has a higher ratio of visuals to head-fuck (stupid term I know, but I don't know what else to say).

Well, in the grand scheme of things, the visuals *are* very similar. With both drugs, the primary visual effects are "geometric patterns, brighter colors, walls/faces/etc. morphing, and so on."

There are some qualitative differences though, with LSD being preferable for me. While rainbow colors are present on both, I find shrooms tend to emphasize darker, more naturalistic shades of color (green, blue and purple dominate CEVs) whereas Acid tends to incorporate more, brighter colors (red and yellow/gold stick out to me). I also find the geometric patterning more impressive with LSD, there is an extra-dimensional aspect of the LSD patterns that I have not experienced on shrooms. A few times on acid, I've felt like I was being sucked into the pattern, seeing it from multiple perspectives at once (this is probably confusing, but it's hard to explain). Besides that, I find the morphing, bending, sliding, trails etc. pretty similar on both drugs.

hope that helps!
