I went on this place for the first time in ages and found it worse, filled with some immature people like Llama? Looking at their posts I can see what the European Discussion is on about when it comes to ED. Really put me off the place, pity as there is some decent people on there.

last weekend i popped to yellow star of david pills and they were probably the best ive ever taken. i say that every time i roll but these deff. were the best. the peak was amazing, crazy eye wiggles, and my jaw was shakey as fuck. i want sum more of these

we're in the middle of some changes right now, and thats actually one of the things that needs to be addressed (ie, do ED mods get ops simply for being ED mods? do they lose ops when they step down, or keep them as long as they're in good standing? etc).

give us some time though, to work out the kinks and figure out exactly how we want to do things.

I think it would make sense for BL ED mods to have OP rights because the channel is called #BluelightED.
 
the reason why we dont just automatically do it that way is because the channel isnt "officially" affiliated with bluelight; its not something that was set up as a bl project, nor is it supported, or even endorsed by bluelight.

the only real thing connecting us to the board is our purpose, and its intended and primary users; outside of that, its just something created and maintained by a few people for benefit of others, as a place to socialize and conduct harm reduction activities, and its up to us to decide how we want to run things, if we want to run things more in-line with the board and give ops to moderators (specifically ED mods, but perhaps others too) for no reason beside the fact that moderators, or if we want to make things completely seperate and have no ties to the board and its politics (since it'll always be a one-sided affiliation, no matter what we do).

thizzlam, bearlove: i'm not sure how much of an introduction/welcoming/explaination you got today, since i havent been on today, but one of the things ops are supposed to do is recruit and help the channel grow, which you should want to do anyway now that you have a reason to emotionally invest in the channel :D
