one of my friends introduced me to a theory he calls quantum particles ( i dont know if its a real theory, or one he made up, but if its real this is not the correct name) which basically states that everything thing in the universe is interconnected on a micro-molecular level, and that humans have the ability to channel energy or something in order to influence events. he told me that he made a pack of matches appear one time when he had nothing to smoke with.

at first i was like ya whatever, you were high, big deal. then it happened to me.

we were at my friends house for his birthday and he went somewhere to get food. being bums, we obviously hadnt gotten him a present, so we decided to clean his bong instead. my friend who told me about the theory said all we need was a paperclip to clean the stem. i looked around for a bit, but couldnt find one. right as i was about to give up, my eyes landed on... a paperclip! somewhere i had already looked too. i was pretty high at the time, but seeing his theory in action completely blew my mind. i had only smoked weed at the time but i was freaked out. on shrooms or acid that random occurrence would have completely shattered my notions about life.

so my question is, have any of you heard of this, or had any similar experiences?

i still havent decided whether or not i really believe this theory, but even if it isnt right, it makes the random coincidences of life so much more fun

are you talking about quarks and theres like 2 more i forget their names. they govern the laws of attraction and the push pull of gravitational forces?

its funny because i was looking up antigravity devices a few months ago and stumbled across this. yes it is a juicey subject with great potential. imagine, love at first site, hate at first site, good luck, bad luck, even subdueing others. yes definitely potential here. its actually what atoms are made of. space recedes infinitely inward just as it does outward. there is an infinite amount of space between two points, which would make movement an impossibility...
but yes everything is made of something which is made of something and so on. so why would it be so impossible to believe. its no more absurd than the notion of an almighty creator with the ability to watch billions of people all at the same time.
if i recall correctly, about 5? years ago scientists were shooting these quantum particles against each other. i think its called dark matter. anyways, they were hoping that at least two of these particles would collide creating, or rather recreating the big bang. people were afraid it was going to create a black hole. idk if its still going on or not.

String theory is only true if they can observe evidence that proves it. Scientific evidence for God on the other hand can never be observed, and thus God can never be proven to exist.

Edit: Also string theory does not prove what the OP is talking about.

^Strings can never be proven to exist either. For the simple reason that in order to see a physical object, you have to shine a light on it! And not just any light, but one of an appropriate wavelength to interact with the object. Since the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation is inversely proportional to its energy, any EM radiation of a short enough wavelength to interact with a string would be of such immensely high energy that it would eradicate the string entirely.

I would say coincidence. Though I am fascinated by the whole "power of your mind", double slit experiment, etc.

You might want to see the documentary called "what the bleep do we know" youtube it

good shit. really detaches a person from emotion.

girl: "do you love me?"
guy: "i enjoy the effect your quantum particles have on my neurotransmitter system."

"1" is only "1" because of what it is comprised of. it would not be "1" without the infinite variations of it composition.
why should matter not follow the same?
atoms have to be made of something, lest they not exist at all...

oh wow epiphany- suppose interdimensional travel exists through the mind. in that case exploring the infinitely inward realm of an atom is what will bring us into another dimension...

WHOASZ

get out of this thread with that nonesense...were doing facts, here, bud

recently, scientists have found a way to make objects invisible.
teleportation was successful in 2007, though it was a small piece of data, it implicates the possibility of not only time travel, but teleportation of larger objects eventually.
nothing is impossible, for knowledge is exponential. impossible is the only impossibility. things just have to be figured out the right way. doesnt mean they are not there waiting to be discovered or explained rationally.
i dont need any data to understand that(or proof for that matter) that substances are made of something. or else the substance is not really there. theres no such things as books, or computers we are typing on. no tv, shit no human life nothing at all.
because thats what quite a few people are implying- that nothing exists at all.
the question shouldnt be what is dark matter. the question should be what is this made of, and what is that which makes that made of, and what is that made of which makes that which makes what that is made of.

(As an aside) It's easy to make objects invisible, you just construct them from a material with a refractive index identical to that of air.

Some things just cannot be possible, like exceeding the speed of light for instance-- constructing an instrument capable of detecting something as small as a string is another example. Like I said, it literally violates the laws of physics. It cannot happen.

remember this chat years from now. :D
