My local police 'chopper' in days gone by was known as the 'Openshaw Moon'.

If you went to Openshaw you'd understand. Metal plates or boards over windows were called 'Openshaw Curtains'. You get the picture.

Yeah Shammy, My IBS is triggered by stress. Just seems like my body likes kicking me when I'm down. Oh you're under stress? Here Have some debilitating cramps and the inability to eat for a few days. Thankfully, they must not be that bad this time round as my meds have helped quite a bit. It's kinda in the back ground but more like a hunger pain ( not hungry ) rather than a curl up in a dark room sobbing.

My last SERIOUS bout was last spring. I couldn't eat anything but watery soup for a week. Great for weightloss. That was when my doctor put me on Omeprazole and Buscapan as it was affecting my stomach as well.


Yeah Effie, I think wine tonight would be rather therapeutic. We shall relax together so to speak. <3


BUUUTTTT: I FINALLY GOT MY CBT THROUGH!!! YAY! Next Monday. Perhaps I'll be able to deal with stress a bit better thus helping my IBS. I feel CBT is going to help me greatly. I'm looking forward to it. I have a fight or bury my head in the sand mentality. I need to find a middle ground.

Effie: Two fellas got the Nobel for discovering that bacteria - was only a few years back too. Given that many thousands of people worldwide had suffered with no real hope of a cure for the whole of human history up until that point I'd definitely say it was well deserved. Went from being an agonisingly painful chronic condition to something that can be completely cured in a week.

Made it to the docs through the freezing wind and horrid drizzle - the kinda combo that gets you cold and and annoyingly moist without ever really getting wet and forces you to squint or be blinded by teeny-weeny rain specks. Filled out me repeat script and forgot to put the codeine down. Receptionist wouldn't get it out the box for me to add it but said she'd remember to do it herself. Will be verbal spankings dished out in the morning if she doesn't :D
 
UGH, Sorry you had to go to the docs in this weather.

I'm just about ready to venture out to the shop. I don't wanna though. Fecking pash out there.

At least upon my return I'll have in my possession at least one bottle of red. This stress thing is making me very aggro. Sadly, like most here in EADDland I'd rather have a quick fix than to sit for an hour meditating. The quick fixes happen to cost money though. So two cheap bottles of red it is.

Thankfully, I've done pretty much all of my housework. Sooooooo, I can enjoy a glass or two whilst finishing up and the rest having some light hearted banter on the board. Or at least reading it.
 
Afternoon/evening all. Only an hour left at work technically but may I'll stay a bit later to try and get some things done. Had some totally shit jobs dumped on my desk this week and I'm not really sure I'll get them all done, especially as I plan on leaving early the morra.

Dead excited for the weekend and it's only wednesday ¬__¬

The only thing I have left to do is ironing. Sod that. I'm gonna take a bath later in my new LUSH products. A gift from my friend. Sadly that'll have to wait until after 9. I'd like some peace and quiet when I do chill out.


This red wine is going down a treat though. I'm starting to relax already.

Edit: I've just realised I've got some Soap and Glory products to enjoy too. A gift from the same friend. She's too nice to me. YAY!! I like both companies products. Makes me stink nice like.
 
I also bought wine to make the journey into town seem more worthwhile (although the script being filled tomorrow makes it plenty worthwhile as it is really... but that's tomorrow). Still feeling a tad ropey from all the boozing last night so am slightly wary of opening it. Well, slightly wary of drinking it anyway. Tis just the one waffer-thin bottle though... and I'll be picking up loads of benzos and painkillers in the morning... Hmm...

Also, that T-Shirt is made of cottony win, PC =D
 
Shammy, if you've only got the one tiny bottle, My experience says, the later you wait the better.


I've prematurely opened my one bottle. Left me supping diluting juice for the rest of the evening pining for my already consumed bottle.

Some days are meant for DRINKING others for the simple enjoyment. Today I have the luxury of both. I'm in the mood to enjoy it but should it go down too quickly, I've got a back up!


I'm feeling rather selfish this evening.



PS. Glad your scripts are being re-filled tomorrow. Hope you feel better honey. You know I'd try and make things better if I could. Damn you for living so far away. ha ha.
 
I know it's a cliche theme but C'mon Catholic priests never get old. They're just as taboo as the rest of his stuff.


Though the Lady Gaga one is pretty much accepted. I'm sure there's a weiner tucked away somewhere!

BUT

Those T-shirts guys wear that have witty slogans on them usually annoy me.

For example-

' BEER + FOOTBALL = HEAVEN'

My Interpretation

'I have no personality so I wear this stupid slogan to attract other simpletons to me'
