Tell us about the last film you watched, mate!

12 and Holding

Had a good mix of comedy and seriousness. Recommended for those nights you just don't know what to watch and want something interesting that doesn't require 110% of your attention.

just watched

pretty fucking cool, wasn't as scary as i imagined. lots of bloody parts though, and fucked up shit.

i'm waiting for a damn good horror movie..

For a time in my youth, I spent some of primary school years growing up in somewhat of a country town.
For a school excursion one year, my whole grade caught the local steam train into town to the "picture theater" to see this movie.

I always remember it for that expeience more than the movie itself so maybe I'm a little biased when I say this movie was the epitome of Hollywood at it's finest (sure it's seen better, but as I said for me this stands out for the memories associated with it and that's what makes it good). :)

The Rocketeer
Whoa, look at that cover. I cannot believe Jennifer Connelly looked like such an adult 20 years ago. She is aging well. or has a time machine.

I dont really remember the movie, but I remember being really surprised when my parents said i could see it.

Faster - 8 out of 10 - Pretty good for an action movie. Not too many slow parts.

The Mechanic - 8 out of 10 - Pretty good movie also. Jason Statham fans will definitely enjoy it. Great ending too.

Just my humble opinion.

Downloading Black Swan atm. (allegedly) ;)

Was gonna watch that the other night, then chickened out--How scary is it? Like The Shining scary (well, freaky), or like legit horror movie scary with things jumping out at you? Lol, I can't watch over the top scary shit... :-/

For reasons I'd feel too silly to explain, I did not get Monster moved up on the list, and instead found myself watching Tropic Thunder. Pleasant surprise for me.

Tropic Thunder (2008 )

Where to begin? For starters, I had forgot how many stars were in the flick. Booty Sweat and Bust-A-Nut? Lulz... Cameos by Matthew McConaughey and Nick Nolte were cool, but I loved Tom Cruise's character - such a balls out dickhead. Ok, it was weird watching the same young dork actor from Sorcerer's Apprentice...doing the same type of role - bad timing for me. Jack Black....meh. It was a bit too much Stiller, then again it was his movie...it was just weird because I kept seeing Zoolander and his other overblown characters in this flick.

The basic premise was cheese, going in you knew it - but so did they, so it was very good cheese. =D Ultimately, what I found myself loving most....aside from Alpa Chino (decent supporting role) ... was Robert Downey Jr. I had to keep telling myself who that was - he was so into the character. I read where he stayed in character even when the cameras stopped rolling, and even during the commentary (in line with what his character said during the film). Hell, I loved some of the dialogues he gets into - like the race talks with the black guy; like when the black guy is in his shit for being Aussie...and Downey still didn't break character...it was hilarious watching a 70's black guy hard ass getting upset and defending Aussie icons, but still unable to break back into being Aussie.

A very pleasant surprise...glad it showed up next on my list :D

dude I fucking love this movie

one of my all time favs

back in early 2009(like jan) my roomies and I were without cable for about a month - we had this on the ps3 along with other movies, so it was heavily circulated

we can all still recite lines from this movie till this day

"I don't read the script, the script reads me"

the ending is hilarious
