Opioids Plugging and MS Contin questions

A few questions, I just plugged 2 15mg MS Contins for the first time (I take 60-90mg orally usually not crushed) and I also took a 30mg by mouth whole for good measure.

First question, in a 15mg ms contin is there only 15mg of morphine or more?
Second question, how long should I wait for plugging to take effect, all I feel like right now if a buttload of water in my rectum (pun intended). (I did use boiling water I expected it to burn or something to that effect).

I'm thinking about eating another 30 :(
 
Well you should use warm water for plugging not boiling and make sure you use the bathroom before plugging because your fecal matter could just absorb the morphine. It should only take about 5 to 10 min for effects to kick in. If the pill says 15mg ms contin then yes its only 15mg of morphine. If your wondering what the rest of the pill is its just a bunch of inert binders and fillers. you should check out this thread to answer any plugging questions

In clinical tests, the average time to reach peak plasma levels for rectal administration of morphine was 30 minutes. This varies from person to person, but it should be close to this value.

Definitely check out the link that CaPoNe. provided above!! Its a work in progress, but it describes the proper method for plugging. Its important to use a small amount of water, and also to clean yourself out beforehand to prevent the water from absorbing into existing waste in the digestive tract.
 
Thanks guys! It was about 45 minutes and I became light headed. I also ended up taking 30mg oral along with the 30mg plugged, plugging seem to effect my brain while oral seems to give me a body high. So me personally I'll stick with oral but had to try it out.

morphine sulphate isn't the most water soluble drug (compared to a lot of other pharms anyway) so you need a larger solution than most other drugs. i think it's solubility is something around 60-80mg/mL water. i always used 3 or 5mL luer lock syringes when plugging and shooting morphine.

Definitely! Since he's only using like 30mg it should be a relatively small amount though. I think generally like 5-ish mL is the recommended amount of liquid for plugging, or so I'm told.
