DMT Goo and Drying the Product

I've got a goop with (hopefully) DMT in it. It also contains water, sodium carbonate, acetic acid, and a small amount of oil.

I am trying to dry this as much as possible before moving on to the next step in the extraction. Could I leave it in the oven, on a low temp?

What temp is suitable? Is there a reason I couldn't just boil it down? My tek said not to boil it, but this is taking a ludicrously long time. At what temp does it begin to degrade?

Also, when I want to use a solvent (alcohol, ether, acetone, etc.) could I use chloroform? I like how fast it evaps. Or would that bring along oil, sodium carbonate, and/or other impurities into the final product?

I had to use sodium carbonate as a base because I don't have access to lye or much lime.

The oil is part of the Tek as well, though I've minimized it as much as I can. I should end up with a relatively pure product, despite this. If chloroform won't do it, then I'll just use alcohol.

I suppose my main question is the temperature one.

I need some way to dry this out better. I'm going to bed soon and I'd like to know if I could leave it in the oven, and at what temperature, on a timer for a few hours. I'd like to begin the next step tomorrow, but I've still got three batches of a lot of this stuff, and it doesn't seem to evap. fast.

dmt has a high boiling point.
a toaster oven opened along with a miniature desk fan blowing the heat toward the plate works pretty well = ghetto blow dryer.
also, idk if this will be any use to the procedure, but alcohol mixes with np as well.
the gunk is junk, prob leftover powder. you could do an extraction into a polar, filter/toss the gunk, then rebasify- or not. whatever. btw if it evaps and ends up blue, let me know. im trying to figure that one out myself.

I'm confused by the presence of both a base and an acid in your goo. Are you trying to get a salt or a base? I believe that the base has a melting point of close to 120 degrees F. The salts have a much higher MP.

Why are you trying to dry this, can you explain where you are in the process? Because basically you can do extractions with DMT in solution and other solvents for other phases, until in the end you have a non-polar solvent (like naphtha / coleman fuel) that can be evaporated or freeze-crystallized to get high grade DMT.

The sodium carbonate will only dissolve in water so if you instead of dry this add both a workable volume of water and non-polar solvent and shake or mix that for a while you can separate them and leave a lot of shit behind.

If you still end up with gunk that way it is probably wise to defat what you have (not sure what oils you are talking about but that should get rid of those), search for procedures there are plenty out there.
