Hafta keep counteracting the sadness with postitives. Like the fact that he only ever knew happiness & love.

He never knew (& will never know) what true sadness is. He will never be heartbroken, disappointed, rejected or bullied (for being ginger!). He escaped all the cruelties of the world.

Some comfort comes from thinking this way. Otherwise I start to go downhill.
