Hey you closed my thead :
http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=554567
on the basis that it was a "trip report" and had nothing to do with harm-reduction. Well, yes it did contain somewhat of a trip report but the main focus of the thread was to invoke a discussion on the effectivness of smoking oxy and the misconception (in my opinion) that it is a complete waste. I know that almost everyone will disagree with me because that is just what people have been brain-washed to believe through the internet. One person says something, a couple people agree, and all of a sudden its considered a fact.
According to the OD rules of posting :
Other Drugs (OD) is designed for discussion of the queries regarding other drugs (ie not psychadelics or MDMA) not covered by the following two forums:
Basic Drug Discussion (BDD): as the name suggests, basic drug Qs. The next post will soon cover examples of material suited for BDD
Advanced Drug Discussion (ADD): chemistry-related and more science based course, discussion of novel compounds etc etc
"designed for the discussion of the queries regarding other drugs" ie. Oxycodone. There is no where else where I can create a topic for the discussion of this drug.
It seems to me like Mods (not single-ing you out) are just closing threads for the sake of closing threads. This is an internet forum meant for harm reduction but also discussion on various drugs, ROAs, BA%s, etc... Bluelight is going downhill from when I joined a couple years ago. I don't even understand what kinds of threads are valid to post anymore and it's a shame because this used to be my go-to site for information you couldn't find anywhere else on the internet.
If you read this, thanks for your time and maybe it will actually spark some discussion on the direction in which BL is headed.
Thank you for explaining the purpose of the forum I moderate, I was completely unaware!
Just because something doesn't violate a specific guideline, doesn't mean it will stay open. If a topic has been covered again and again and the discussion only devolves into people calling each other names and no factual, harm reduction-based discussion occurring, why should those threads stay open?
The forum has changed a lot in the last few years from a drug forum that had a little harm reduction information to a HARM REDUCTION forum first and foremost and this is the most basic criteria now. Many people are unhappy about the transition because they want to chat about drugs but there are other places for that... BDD, DC and beyond BL you have forums such as drugs-forum and opiophile.
OD's traffic has grown exponentially since the standards have been raised and tightened and I don't think that's merely coincidence.
This topic has been addressed a lot and unless you show that you're bringing something different to the discussion and not just sharing your experience, I don't see a reason to reopen it.
Do you have studies on the subject? BA numbers? Case reports of people who smoked pharmaceuticals long term?
If so, please share. If not, I don't see why we need a 12th thread that just devolves into 3 pages of unsubstantiated posts where people are either saying "you're an idiot its a waste" or "Oh man, I get so high doing this".
Do you see where I'm coming from? I'm certainly open to further discuss this if you think I'm missing something or you feel it has value to the forum that I'm overlooking.
Thank you for respectfully PMing me to discuss this!
