NEMD Grateful Dead Appreciation Thread

Were the acid test shows with Ken Kesey and all that ever recorded? If so what name are they under and where could I find them?

That 1991 tour thing is way awesome, I wish it was big enough that I could read it :p

Gettin' ready to see phil, bobby, and john on that stage again, I'm so ready. I've been diggin' on a lot of 71 shows recently. Had fell in love with the (late 70's and) 80's, but remembered all those classics like easy wind and chinatown shuffle recently. Would love to see some of those tunes.

There needs to be more GD on Rock Band, even know there is prolly more dead content on there than any other band.
Also over all, there songs are a lot more fun to play than most of the other bands on there.

My favorite ones to play atm are China Cat Sunflower, Alabama Getaway, and Cumberland Blues.
Here is a vid of someone playing Cumberland Blues. It's prolly one of the most difficult imo

Ha, my parents love that game for their wii. They always make me play on holidays and such, so when I saw that there was a few dead songs to download it made it a lot easier to convince me. I think I got like Touch of Grey, Sugar Magnolia, Alabama Getaway, and China Cat. I'm a musician so the game itself is kind of a novelty, but now that it has dead songs its way more fun.

Anyway, check out the Furthur recordings from Colorado if you get a chance everyone (all three are up at:http://www.archive.org/details/Furthur)! It was a fuckin' smoking run.

1st night (2-11) highlights: Loser, Black-Throated Wind, Weather Report Suite
2nd night- PERSONAL FAVORITE (2-12) highlights: Lovelight, Viola Lee, Death Don't Have No Mercy, Dear Mr. Fantasy/Hey Jude Reprise, Attics of My Life
3rd night (2-13) highlights: Tennessee Jed, Estimated Prophet -> Eyes of the World, Wharf Rat
(Only the beginning of the list of amazing songs really, the whole run had very few (if any) misses)

Not sure if anyone cares but there they are, there were some really killer jams, and great vibes. Phil even mentioned starting the donor rap on sunday "Wow Colorado you guys bring some weird vibes - thanks for that". (or something.)

Well there's my mini-review of another killer run if anyone is curious.
