Opioids bupe and meth

my mate is on subs and the days he has it and has meth the same day he says he feels it ALOT more i can tell he's feeling it alot more too the pick wont shutup and i mean i talk alot on meth but fuck me if this bloke has bupe and meth on the same i can hardly understand what hes say he talks that fast rofl

Please specify, are you talking about methadone or methamphetamine?

Also, I smoked some crack last night (I do that every once in a blue moon for kicks) and my sub was definitely more noticeable. I felt like nodding off more than running around and peaking out the blinds. ;)

methadone didnt u look at the site ? any way it says mixing suboxone and methadone, makes both stronger.

I would imagine methadone and suboxone would almost cancel each other out, suboxone having a higher binding affinity for the u-opioid receptor. Anyway, junkie skumbag's reply seems to deal with his friend being on methamphetamine.

From the title of the post, I thought you were talking about bupe+methamphetamine.

You'd obviously need to take the subs BEFORE the methadone, and then only a low enough dose of subs for the methadone to be able to have any effect at all.

But taking methadone > subs is dangerous and taking subs > methadone is inefficient/money wasting, I would have thought.

i was basically asking if any one has heard of this?thoughts? i already expermented wit all stuff with bupe it seems to block me really well so i dont know how the hell methadone would work.

What's your bupe dose? Probably the only thing that'll happen is you'll get sleepy and perhapy itchy. There's lots of crap on the net: "injecting bupe will always precipitate withdrawal...this is because of the NALOXONE..."; "oxycodone is stronger and more euphoric than heroin..." - don't believe everything you read.

i dont believe it when a forum says it but when the gov says it it gotta b somethin

Not all the time.

I'm pretty sure the DEA website says the Narcan in Suboxone is what deters people from IVing it.

The DEA website also says that cannabis has "no accepted medical use in the United States"

Although I cannot speak on this topic with as much certainty as others, a friend of mine is currently on a Suboxone prescription for an oxycodone addiction, and to the extent of my knowledge it seems that the buprenorphine and methadone would cancel one another out; the latter's efficiency would be reduced significantly by the former as methadone, being a full µ-opioid agonist, will not be able to bind to the receptors that buprenorphine exhibits its blockade effect on, the latter of which binds tightly to µ-opioid receptors as only a partial agonist.

If the buprenorphine is administered a duration of time after the methadone, however, the effects may be desirable to achieve a high of some sort.

On the other hand, Suboxone will exhibit naloxone's competitive antagonist properties on the µ-opioid receptors, for which it possesses a high affinity. So if you're looking to combine methadone with your suboxone maintenance dosage, you're sorry out of luck; the addition of naloxone (which is present for this precise reason) changes things just a bit.

This is all pure conjecture with my knowledge of pharmacology, but if you're on Suboxone I highly doubt you'll be able to obtain any level of opiate high with relative ease. Smoke some tree!

h ah ah gotcha man just asking ya kno maybe that one worked and i do smoke tree and eat benzos but i jus miss my old opiate blisss =D

and my brother gave me a hand full of 10 mg methadones more reason to try ha ha but o well this dam bupe gotta go lol have a good night alll gooo green bayyyy!!!

If you're already on bupe, taking the methadone won't hurt you. The worst that will happen is that nothing will happen. It's going the other way that's dangerous.
