Ritalin / Concerta or Strattera ?

Hi bl,

It's been a while.. I wanted to have some feedback on these few meds for adhd disorder.

my question is:

Which one is the most powerful ?
Which one work the best ?
Which one is the most stimulant ?
What is the difference between them ?

Many thx just tested my first 10mg Ritalin pill and didn't feel anything on my adhd...

Any info ?

Ritalin and concerta have the same ingrediant and they are stimulants. I think very few ppl have success on straterra. I think ritalin works great but the side effects out weigh it....imo amphetamines work better, and the side effects are not as bad
 
yeah but cannot find any amphetamines here :(

about concerta I just found it is a time realease Methylphenidate hcl which works up to 12hrs. not bad cause I found Ritalin's effect only for a few hours.
Then I feel bad when im comming down.

This made me think about benzo, Xanax (3-4hrs ) and Clonazepam (8-9hrs). I love time release but at a higher mg's than prescribed.

Ritalin should not have a harsh comedown if you dont abuse them and use them for what they are intended. Concerta is a time released version of Ritalin (methylphenidate) and it is only useful for those who cannot adhere to taking a pill more than once a day. Concerta can yield insomnia as the effects are still lingering if taken too late where as Ritalin doesn't. Strattera has mixed reviews for ADHD. Go with Ritalin.

Also, don't start taking benzodiazepines unless strictly needed. ADHDers tend to suffer from insomnia and they experience relief once their ADHD is fixed. If you need sleeping pills, go with seldom use of non-abusable drugs such as hydroxyzine, clonidine or trazadone.
 
Strattera is shit. It is a non-stimulant which means it cannot be effective for ADHD. I hate methylphenidate but its better than Strattera. If I were to choose I'd take the Ritalin because Concerta is one of the worse ADHD medication in my opinion (at least for getting high). Ritalin can get you sort of high by snorting it. Similar to some really cut up cocaine. Stimulant naive people say that its a good high. I guess if your really looking for something to help you out than go with Concerta because Ritalin only lasts about 3 hours and you have to take it 4 times in the day. I hated having to go to the doctors office in junior high to pick up my Ritalin all the time. Just don't expect any recreational effects from it (Concerta).
 
thx for feedback. My case is fixed. I'll be RX'ed 2x20mg Ritalin Daily.

Hope it will help, because last day I snorted the 20mg and didn't feel any high. And im a stimulant ( meth, coke, amphet ) naive. soo wtf ? maybe my Buprenorphine treatment is interfering ?

whatever it is , im happy to have my Ritalin now :)
 
As a fellow ADD person I have used Ritalin 10mg IR (Methylphenidate) pills for more than 5 years now and if you do not notice any stimulation the medication does work. :)

ADHD causes stimulants to give a paradoxically calming effect, at least for myself and people I know.

What is the difference between them ? Concerta is time release. Ritalin is instant release. Strattera is anger release. Concerta feels like a long comedown.

No amphetamines... what is the RC status in your country? MDPV is much better than all of these, and probably cheaper. I snort a 5mg bump and it keeps me up for a long time.

I take concerta xl for adult A D H D this is of the amphetamine family a 12 hour release aswell. I find this a cracker at the correct individual dose mate. Ritalin immidiate release is also of good value but the comedown is not to good at least with the concerta xl you can accomodate for the dose time. with the immidiate release ritalin its unpredictable with the comedown and for unscrupulus individuals or people of a addictive personality ,of which im guilty off, they can be abused so from my experience concerta xl is your best bet buddie be good hope that helps
 
ok tryed for my first time Ritalin (70mg oral 30mg intranasal ) I really like the intranasal way It fell like a kinda rush.

never used stimulant, allays downers, benzo, bupe, booze, weed... Is it a mistake to take one of those, or all of them together.

My Dr. said to me : I know your addicted to weed but NEVER EVER smoke weed under ritalin... wtf ?was this a kind of dr advice to slow my weed use.. But I wont do it until I dont have response.

BTW RITALIN SYMPTOMS:

+ ur speed
+ but focused
+ more talkative
+ less shy
+ want to talk to ppl

+- Kinda fuzzy vision just like a very small ammount of lsd or shrooms

- comedown is horribe
- jaw clenching on me I HATE THAT.
- limited stock and I have to take a whole tablet to enjoy the effect. 20mg isnt enough...for fun$
- REALLY hard to sleep. Even When I want to knock me down with 4mg clona and 1mg xanax. NUTHING ! usually Just 1mg and some weed is well enough for me.

nb: have fybromialgia so it has been always been hard to me to sleep wiithout meds: I tested all Z' family of meds but THEY ARE REALLY BAD...at high dosage. the next morning ur like ? WTF IM DOING HERE ?
