not understanding stmulants

ok I am scripted ritalin and will snort aroung 60 th 80 mg's to get a nice high. I will usually do this for about 5 days in a row. well tonight I got my hands on some 20mg adderall xr's which i opened up and crushed all the beads into powder. I snorted all of it 100mg worth and did not feel anything at all,. why is that?
 
your not getting high because your snorting adderal, and my guess is the wax covering is blocking absorption to some degree.. Parachute it or get better drugs.

you have to snort the beads whole, duh.
 
There's probably some degree of cross tolerance, but still 100 mgs of adderall should have you zinging. Wild guess here but maybe the guy you got the addies from emptied the beads out and replaced them with the ones from some other pill.
 
When was the last time you took the mph (Ritalin) ? Ritalin inhibits dopamine n adderall releases it. Therefore rit blocks the effects of addy. U can always increase the dose of addy n see if that works. 20mg is not a high dose, n the xr time release is gunna effect release, n isn't good for snorting. Lol. If u want sum advice, take sum tums or baking soda w/ water 30-45min before dosing and take the xr's orally as there meant 2 b taken, remember xr= 10mg after dosing n another 10mg 4hrs after so u may need 2 take more to reach appropriate dose. Gotta basify ur stomach. The high ph leads to low absorption levels sometimes as low as 30% of the drug is absorbed w/o bases added. Leading to majority of the drug being excreted in your urine
 
Ritalin (and coke and a shitload of others) inhibit the RE-UPTAKE of dopamine. Amphetamines release it. Both, in different ways, increase the dopamine available.
 
Methylphenidate is meant to be snorted. Adderall is meant to be taken orally. Although they both work in the same manner, the high from methylphenidate is different than Adderall. Crushing the XR beads doesn't always defeat the entire time release and XR's aren't the best form of d-amphetamine salts to get high from. The instant release Adderall is a better choice.
 
I tried snorting crushed xr a few times. It doesnt work at all. Chewing the xr beads is the best way to do it. I find it makes my mouth/throat kinda numb i dont know why. To be honest, it doesnt taste that bad its kinda sweet kinda bitter. But ive eaten a lot of gross tasting drugs i really dont mind chemical tastes. The only thing gross is it makes you salivate and it turns into this gross warm yellow mixture thats unpleasant to get down. Swish water around in your mouth and swallow too the beads can get stuck in your teeth.
