Difference in taste between different mdma?

Ok, so I've been taking mdma for a long time and always felt that mdma has a very distinct taste. My question pertains to as to whether its possible for different batches of clean mdma to taste different? In other words, is it likely that different batches of molly would have different tastes...still bitter, but different types of bitter? Is it possible for the extraction process to result in different tastes? My guess is basically that mdma should taste mostly the same all the time...other opinions? Thx.
 
I am sure different batches may taste different but no matter was it all tastes bad. Just as long as you don't think that you can tell by taste if a substance is MDMA or not or if it is better quality than another.

If you think they taste different...that's cool. Just don't think you can use taste to tell quality.
 
I notice that white mdma tastes different from white-brownish coloured mdma, so yeah it's possible for different batches to taste different.
 
I would say yes they could taste differently depending on how is was made, washed, stored, transported etc.
 
It could only taste differently if it has impurities or it is a different form (freebase/salt).
So two batches of clean MDMA will always taste the same, regardless of the production process or what not.

AFAIK, pure MDMA should be slightly off-white powder, or glass-like in larger crystals.
Brownish MDMA thus automatically must contain impurities to obtain another colour, hence the different taste.
This impurities can either be due to sloppy synthesis, degradation or cutting.
And even a tiny impurity of 0.1% can already significantly alter the colour and taste.

Conclusion: Tasting MDMA is not a good way to check for identity/quality. :)
 
if its 100% then it will taste the same everytime. Even if it wasnt though if its any good it tastes so goddamn shitty I dont think youd be able to pick out anything other then chemical nastiness.

Im sorry but that is simply wrong -

Lets say for shits n giggles

Somebody packed an OZ of MDMA up the ass of a mule and packed the self same MDMA inside an orange do you really think both would smell and taste the same ?

This must come off as nitpicking, so excuse me beforehand plz...
But if it tastes like orange or smells like shit because of the above circumstances, the MDMA is cut with either chemicals from the orange or pieces of shit from the mule.
The definition of 100% is 100%, and if it's 100% MDMA there can't be 0.1% butt flavored jelly, since then it would be 99.9% MDMA and 0.1% jelly.
I know it's stupid, but it's often stupid when science meets common sense, the two just don't mix very well sometimes.
Like mixing two powders and suddenly they both become liquid...WTF just happend!? :\

That said, MDMA is usually packaged pretty well, especially when transported rectally.
Plus you can easily wash it with some acetone to obtain 100% MDMA again. :)
 
Thanks to all for your responses here. I've never had an issue with taste testing pill form mdma, but I have a lot of experience with it. I wouldn't say I can taste if a pill is mdma low so well, but when I taste one that's mdma med or high, I know "this is gonna be good!"

However, there's been a lot of crap molly floating around my area and some good shit too. Problem is some of it has your typical mdma taste, but there's something else in there...another chemical taste...really horrible too, worse than mdma by far. Anyway, it could be just an impurtiy as I'm told certain batches tested clean. Need to get new tester.
 
I find it usually tastes a little stronger or weaker based on purity and or size of the dose.

Other than that most of it tastes the same IMO, smell seems to be harder for me to nail down.

@Georgewc-

Is it possible that the Molly you got had got cut with meth? I know that stuff tastes disgusting, it burns your mouth a little too when you eat it, I haven't heard about this being done much but I'm sure it happens.

Otherwise maybe you got a little MDA in the batch too, I find that stuff tastes worse than MDMA, better for snorting though :)

Well if it smells like something else, that would mean there is something else in there, which would mean its not exactly 100%. I thought we were talking about taste but same idea really i guess.
