Is there any ways to make coming from 2mg's of bupe each day, (for the past month) down to zero mgs. easier?? Best taper ideas?? These are strips so can only be taken orally.

Also, after a month of taking bupe each day... will withdrawls be bad if I go coold turkey? And will be Heroin WD's be gone? I was on h for a few years on and off.. this last time before starting the bupe it only took my 2 tenbags to get well.

?? Help please ??

I would say that physiologically the heroin has dissipated, but that perhaps in some psychological way, unless you suffered when you switched to bupe, you may find yourself convinving yourself that you're suffering on that account. Are you putting up these posts because you want help genuinely?; or because you want someone to say "get wasted on benzos and everything else you can find to lessen the withdrawal". I think what you need to do is fairly simple - use what you have as well as you can, eat well, sleep well and perhaps think ahead.

Oh and btw you're definitely bupe-dependent considering you're not opiate-naive (i.e., opiates mean something definite and real to you); perhaps if someone was help down and force-fed bupe for a month they would give it up alot easier.

^^damn im pretty sure hes just wondering if he takes bupe for a month to get off heroin if hell have a monthlong or so kick after he stops instead of a week long heroin kick.

oP, just taper the bupe down to half a mg or preferably less daily, and you should be fine no matter how long youre on it for.

Yeah just go down to 1mg daily for a while, then 0.5mg daily for a while, then jump off. May still be a little uncomfortable, but definitely manageable in my opinion. The heroin is out of your system by now, but you are still dependent on opiates even though you are taking bupe. Not exactly the same as heroin obviously, but switching from daily heroin to daily bupe, you are just switching one thing for another and will still suffer withdrawals. Tapering down to practically nothing will minimize your discomfort, though . Good luck !

Best of luck to you friend, I am going through the same thing but my heroin habit is extensive, I currently shoot up 8-10 times daily and am spending a crazy amount of cash.

But my plans for tomorrow night or monday is to start off with suboxones I did it a few times before I am just kinda scared that my heroin habit is a bit too high for the suboxone to even work but idk if that is really a problem or some excuse I made up to keep getting lit up.

Justification.. not.

I asked because I wanted to know if since I had only been on bupe a month and at a low dose if I could just stop cold turkey. I wouldnt spend the time making a username and actually logging onto the forum if I just wanted to get wasted on benzos. I would just do it. Maybe you come on here to find justification for your actions.. I came on to ask a question.

ALSO... I am pre-law student in my last year.. I take 24 credits per semester.. 8 classes a week.. 4 days out of the week I am in school from 10am until 11pm. I spend probably 9 -10 hours out of the other days doing research and homework.. At $47,000 a year for my tuition.. I can not afford to take days off from homework or school because I am withdrawing. That is why I ask. I need to know what to expect and whether or not I need to get more bupe or not to make this easier. I AM trying to get help. This is the longest I have been clean off H since I was 18 years old.. 4 years.. and I have only been off 28 days today. So sorry if I am a little anxious. I thought this was a question forum not an attack forum.
