Ordered a syringe of 10CC Amazonian strain, it was shipped and I hope it comes in contaminate free.

When I boil my cakes in the jar to decontaminate them is it it if I do it a couple of days before I put the spores in them and then watch them grow?

Hope it all goes well :)

Easy bank.

Did you make your own jars or buy them online? Are you using brown rice flower with a vermiculite layer on top? What tek are you following?

Doesn't sound like you've done your research for your grow. It's not as easy as just injecting spores into a jar.

I grew shrooms years ago. Ordered a cubie syringe from pf, I can name that company because it's no longer around. They got busted for selling spores. What a disgrace. I recieved a guide with the spores and followed the steps to the letter. Got ok results, I'm sure that if I practiced I would get better at it, but I would probably just buy one of those all-in-one kits they sell these days. Just put it on top of your fridge and let it go! Anyone have experience with those kits? By the way, the way I did the vermiculite/brown rice mix was to blend it together. That's the way they said to do it in the instrudtions. The vermiculite should be evenly mixed into the medium because its purpose is to provide aeration and space between the bits of ground up rice for the mycelial network to grow.

I currently have a grow bag 2 lbs of rye grain going and its pretty far along... caked up into one block sitting on the bottom of the bag, first experience with bags so I dont really know what to expect but gonna be busting it out and letting it fruit pretty soon...

go learn yourself something over at the shroomery or mycotopia.
that's where you need to ask these kind of questions.

I got half pint jars. They're labeled as straight but they are a little tapered, I figured they will do. I bought brown rice, I have to grind it up and I also have my vermiculite. I was going to do 2/3 cup verm, 1/4 rice, 1/4 water and then fill the rest with verm. Put holes in the top, boil for an hour, inject with the spores and let it start!

Heres my bible:

As surf.shaman said, if you want more in depth answers, post this on the shroomery. They really know their mushroom stuff over there.

Definitely check out shroomery, they have been really helpful for me

Sounds like your using pf tek.
I used the 2:1:1 ratio (1/2vrm:1/4brf:1/4h2o) per 1/2 pint jar, make each seperate. Make lids 1 piece by taping and boil with lids slightly cracked (1/4 turn) with foil covering lid. Inoculate next day as sanitary as possible. Then wait...........wait...........some more waiting......with 5 jars it ranged from three weeks all the way up to 2 months for 1 jar (had two seperate batches the second batch was the fastest with the only difference was the jars were cracked during boiling and I made the jars seperate)
During fruiting dont spray so much water that the shrooms start getting spots. Once pining starts lay off the water a little. The spots just start the decay process faster and stunt the shrooms, just means you need to dry them quickly or just eat 'em. You'll hear people say if in doubt throw them out, but after so much work it is hard. I ate them before they rotted and I had only good trips, not even a stomach ache.
Mycotopia and shroomery are priceless!
This brings back memories for me as my grow was busted by my step son - at last he had no clue what the cakes were, found in between flushes.
But now I dont have any more :( ate my last eighth this past weekend. Oh well!
Good luck and study up!
