Warning: Sniffer dogs at london tube stations

What station was that? Old Street, Farringdon, Bank seem to get a lot of attention.

Hammersmith!

Gig at the Apollo by old 80's Psy-Rock act, The Cult! But the wankers were pulling all sorts people, mostly little black kids who they can make cry! :X

Despite my detailed intructions, they were unable to find my spliff & completely missed one baggie altogether...

i think there bomb dogs. last year on the way to global police dogs sniffed us at paddinton and we had 2 ounces on us and pills. they didn't seem to notice. i would imagine it would be too time consuming for police to had drug dogs there because so many people carry drugs

Yeah.. saw them today at 8am at one of the main stations in London. As soon as I saw them my face dropped as I remembered what I had on me from the night before. I could see the dog perk up but got away quickly!

No, that wouldn't be time-consuming for them. That would be lots of double-bubble overtime and a commendation for taking down a load of druggy scum destroying the fabric of society.

So he didnt find your other baggie but you decided to give it him anyway?

You must be joking!?! Spliff in one sock, two baggies in the other sock. Twat only found one baggie...

Bloke who got me was a nasty, power hungry little prick. Got on fine with the rest of them, even had a bit of a laugh. But the little cunt... nah.... I necked the contents of the other bag at the gig, with much delight!

Rough guess was about one person per minute at Hammersmith on Fri night, at only one exit from the station. A friend waited outside the stairwell that the roz were using to search folk. Mate reckonned at least 15 people caught in the 15 minutes it took to take my details & search me...

I wondered if the dog was in fact a bomb-sniffer, there simply for show... The pigs seemed to be focusing attention on "suspicious" types (me, I got dreads) black kids or anyone oddly dressed. I was told the dog sniffed me & signalled but I didnt see it happen...

I got put in a room to be searched after being sniffed (stoned as fuck but with NOTHING on me, ha ha) and even at a small zone 3 underground station outside rush hour six or so people were brought in in the 20 minutes it took them to act all tough, touch me up then sheepishly send me off. So loads of people smell of drugs or are carrying. Only one of them had anything on them as far as I can remember.

Sometimes they're just regular dogs to panic people into looking dodgy. Might well be how they pulled Si above. The drug dogs are not infallible and they also only work for short periods before they get tired out/distracted and are no use. They're almost certainly not bomb dogs because the number of people carrying explosives is so much smaller than the number of people carrying drugs. I hope.

Last night at shepherds bush main station there sniffer dogs out and about, saw a few people getting pinched, that was like rush hour too

The ones you thought were ok were probably the most two-faced cunts of the lot. Calling you a jakey fucker and laughing at you when you'd gone. At least the power hungry cunt was open about his cuntishness.

No... trust me, I read people like that *clicks fingers*... I've had enough contact with the Police to know how to behave & I was compliant & polite. The little one was all puffed up with the seriousness of it all but when he wandered off to run a trace on me, a big uniformed chap leaned over me & whispered, "don't stress, you're clearly a law-abiding citizen, the amounts are insignificant & we're unlikely to take this matter any further..." or something to that effect...

I reckon it's just a way to prevent the police cuts. All the newspapers were saying that policemen are too lazy and mainly sit around in office space.

The more 'criminals' they catch might show the government that we need more policing in Britain. Hopefully I am wrong. Fucking scare the shit out of me.

Does anyone know if they are trained to smell meph yet. my gf got sniffed last year wid 28gs in her bra outside Farringdon station, literally looked like she were gonna piss herself! but the dog just strolled off.

what were the amounts they found you with?

I don't know anyone who gets let off anymore.

the police made my mate do squats to see if anything fell out his arse after finding one measly spliff on him. joke.

Farringdon is always a hotspot and best completely avoided if you are carrying. Old Street can be pretty hot too. They've been doing it for years, although I wouldn't be surprised if police visibility goes up loads whenever there's a change of government.

in london, if your going to use stations like farringdon, vauxhall, or liverpool st, old street, aldgate east for the shoreditch areas, where there is lots of nightlife then you really do need to start expecting these things to crop up from time to time. as also mentioned, anywhere where there are concerts like around the 02's, or even bar land in soho like tottenham court road, picadilly circus etc

i have come across police dogs at most of those stations in my life at one time or another on the odd occasion. fortunatley for me, im just a consumer whos happy to purchase while im out

Yeah, the Police action was clearly coinciding with The Cults gig at the Apollo that night!

Half a spliff, three 10mg mpa bombs & a 5mg valium tablet... An "insignificant amount".

ive compiled a list, of some of the more popular stations where from time to time there may be police dogs present of a evening/nightime mainly but not exclusivley at weekends in terms of drugs. of course ive never seen this regular, but its basic common sense. all these stations are in locations that are popular for nightlife/dance music clubs, bars, and most importantly, well known for where drug activity takes place in and around these social enviroments

vauxhall, london bridge, elephant and castle, brixton, liverpool street, old street, aldgate east, farringdon, camden town, mornington crescent, tottenham court road, picadilly circus, leicester square, oxford circus, earls court, hammersmith, wembley, plus any docklands station for greenwich o2.

most of these are pretty obvious if your familiar with central london in a nightlife/social/music gig context.

if theres any more that anyone can think of then feel free to add.

From http://www.yourrights.org.uk/yourrights/the-rights-of-suspects/stop-and-search/search-records.html

"You should be given a copy of the record immediately. If this is not possible you can obtain a copy of the record for a period of up to twelve months (unless a record was exceptionally not made in the circumstances described above)."

I recieved no such record. When I asked for the diminutive Inspectors name, he kinda muttered it under his breath & when I repeated it back to him he made no comment... So I walked off...

Also from the same site :-

"Prior to conducting a search under any power to search before or without arrest, a constable must take reasonable steps to bring the following to your attention:

If the constable is not in uniform, proof that he or she is a constable, which Code A says must be by showing a warrant card.

Information on police powers to stop and search and the individual’s rights in these circumstances.

The constable’s name and police station.

The object of the proposed search.

The constable’s grounds for proposing to search.

The availability of a search record and how to obtain one if one is not made at the time of the search.

The search may not be commenced until the constable gives you such information, and the information must be given even if not requested."

Whoops, I have a feeling there has been a procedeural fuck up here. I was given no information regarding the Search Record, no information on how to obtain a copy. I was not given the Inpsectors name until AFTER the search & no information as to what Police Station he was from except that I was to attend Paddington Green in the (unspecified) near future... If I hear from them again, I'll be sure to mention this Lol
