I usually use cocaine as my drug of choice, but have recently given up that habbit for a while. Just want to rid my body of those toxins, but I still feel the need to be high sometimes. My husband recently gave me 2 5 mg oxycodone pill. I just have a couple questions about this drug....

1. I'm guessing the most effective and least harmful way to absorb the drug is through swalling the pill. I read on here somewhere (wish I could give credit to the person I read that from) that pills are made to be swollen, not crushed up and snorted. But can this pill be taken sublingual? Or the most harm reduction would be to swallow it and still get the desired effects?

2. Anyone and everyone reading this wil probably think I am the worst drug user, but is Oxycodone considered an 'opiate'? Like in the same category as Heroin.. Morephine... is it an opiate?

3. I don't know if these are side effects, but the feelings are MOSTLY desirable.... when I first take them I get very warm and flushed. Then really sleepy and can barely keep my eyes open, then I start to spin a bit. Then I get a lot of energy and clean the entire house.. which I love that feeling (cocaine user) and can get a load of energy and clean without feeling all clogged and nasty like from coke. Then after about 2 hours I get really sleepy again, and fall asleep within 2 minutes, or take another and get the same boost. BUT! the worst thing is... does Oxycodone make you itch?!?! I swear, yesterday I wanted to rip my skin off it is so itchy. Actually right now my legs are getting itchy and my back =D

^^Are these normal?

4. What is a good starting dosage for someone who is just starting.. I am 5'2" and 130 pounds and have been taking 2 of the 5 mg oxycodones. Is that a good dosage for the least harm and most desired effects?

5. Is loss of appetite usually normal on these?

6. Is oxycodone your drug of choice?

Thank you oh so kindly.'<3

1. I snort them. IF you're playing with 10mg snorting them gets you a nice high. If you do it often you will ruin your nose

2. Opioid. An opiate thats made in a lab.

3. Thats what being doped out is like. It usually doesnt make me itch.

4. My first time i tried 10. I then did 20. If you take too much you'll spend the night hugging a toilet.

5. I can't eat when doped out. I know someone who loves it. I think they do affect appetite.

6. Definitely not. My friend moved onto heroin from oxycodone and is ruining his life as we speak. It will make you feel warm and fuzzy and happy like nothing else. People become obsessed with the feeling and soon cant say no. They work shitty jobs and get doped up while home alone. It can be some sad shit.

2. Yeah it's an opiate/opiod

3. Makes you itchy as hell due to a release of histamine. But it's pretty much a thing with opiates. Some people love it, some people hate it, most people grow to love it. Scratching feels great!

4. 10mg should get you fucked up. Took 15mg my first time and holy shit wow. Watch out though, tolerance builds quickly and before you know it's gonna take 20mg to get the same effects, and so on..

5. Different for everybody. Sometimes I get hungry, sometimes I don't give a fuck.

6. Yes. Well, opiates are...

Enjoy and be careful, they're addictive!

God, I know that feeling - of wanting to wrench your skin off and scratch all over - it's one of those things that opiates do.
And as it's due to a release of histamine - taking something like Piriton or any OTC antihistamine usually helps stop the itching.

And I agree with woodandink - watch out for the addiction side of things as that's not something you want to happen

1. Here are the bioavailabilities of oxycodone in different ROA's

Oral/rectal 60-87%
intranasal- 55-70%
Sublingual - ~20%
Buccal - ~55%

So they best way would be to swallow or plug. Plugging would be more suited for recreational use because the onset is quicker and effects are more intense.

2. It's considered an opioid. More specifically semi-synthetic morphinian derivative just like heroin. Morphine is a naturally and endogenously occurring opiate.

3. Yea, itching is a side effect of all opiates and opioids. It's caused by histamine release and can be easily countered by administering an H1 antagonist like the OTC drug claritin.

4. for starters 10-20mg's orally or rectally should give you the desired effects.

5. The indirect release of dopamine and maybe norepinephrine contribute to appetite loss. I've never experienced appetite loss on oxycodone though.

6. I enjoy popping some percocet's once in a while, but I don't really have a drug of choice. I usually do something different every time depending on the occasion. When I can acquire oxy I usually take it whenever, it's a decent drug for pretty much everything.

1. Do all of you really not notice that the pills she has are Percocets? DO NOT snort or plug them. Swallow them or crush them and swallow them.

2. Yes, it is an opiate.

3. Yes, that is perfectly normal. Take 25mg of Benadryl if the itching gets intolerable. Personally, I love the itch, and most likely with more experience, you will grow to love it as well.

4. 10mg is the perfect starting dose, as you have already discovered.

5. Loss of appetite is not normal, but it's not abnormal either.

6. No, heroin is. Oxycodone used to be, though.

I guess they could be Roxicodone or Oxy IR's, but I'm still willing to bet they are Percocets. Even still, oral BA is higher than intranasal, so swallowing is ideal.

Percocets have tylenol in them. Plain old oxy's do not. I asked my dr. for just oxy's because I have gastritis and the tylenol burns my stomach. Anyways I am on them for fibromyalgia and they work wonders. They definetely do what they did to you. I get sleepy at first but then get great energy which I love since I have 2 young kiddos. They only make my nose itch which is weird bc I do not snort them. I find that snorting them only makes me tired and useless. I recommend just swallowing them normally. I have always been able to eat on them....but I am a legal cannibus user as well so that may help. I only use 5mg at a time, but my body gets very used to them, so when I am in more pain I do take more.....

oxys

i am lucky i get 240 5mg oxys for about a penny each , i usually just swallow them but i did try shooting , trouble is my veins are gone from 18 years of heroin abuse , i cant find a vein , wah!!!:(
any suggestions? i need help please , thank you

I take oxycodone orally.

Oxycodone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from thebaine

The side effects you listed are common. You can take an anti-histamine for the itching. Being half asleep/half awake is a desirable effect.

A good starting dose for someone without a tolerance would be 10-15mg

Loss of appetite is a somewhat common side effect.

Oxycodone is my opiate of choice, I don't know about drug of choice. Possibly. I've committed the most crimes for it.

yeah i do coke sometimes but opiates are my favorite drug sometimes they make you itch, but 5mg oxys are weak as fuck lowest ive got is 15mgs. so id say 15mgs a day to start will have you feeling nice i usually do 30mgs and anywhere from 1-5 a day but thats just me IV'ing them are fucking awesome and give you a huge rush but snorting them is the next best thing and hits you quick again its all in your preferance but id be snorting them if your not into IV'ng

Oxycodone is best orally. The pills you have are likely Percocet (which have Tylenol in them), so do not snort this.

10mg is a very small dose. For first-timers I recommend 20-30mg orally.

I think that you guys need to be more specific about why you think that oxycodone is best taken orally.

It's true that more of the drug will be absorbed and that the duration of the high may be longer, but taking the oxycodone in your nose will result in faster onset and to me that is sometimes, not all the time but sometimes, worth losing a bit of the substance.

Percs can be snorted if a CWE is done and then the the product evaporated leaving powder (which then should be CWEd again to remove any excess paracetamol) but at the end you should be left with relatively pure oxycodone that can be safely snorted.

I enjoy crushing them and then taking them orally in powder form. It's kind of my happy medium between insufflation and whole ingestion. It kicks in quicker but my nose doesn't burn like the sixth layer of hell. The oral route seems to be the way to go if you want them to work long and hard.

Why do people say that? I have never snorted a substance before that so tremendously hurt my nose. The next day my nose might be a little sore, but nothing too bad.

The rush isn't worth losing some of it. Don't get me wrong its nice, just not worth it.

I believe that oxycodone's intranasal bioavailability is greater than 70%, especially when taking into consideration that however much of the substance not absorbed by the nose will probably drip down one's throat and into their stomach.

So, in my opinion, it's worth it and not much of a waste at all. That's just my two cents, though.

EDIT: Then again, there's just something really cool about taking oxycodone orally and then noticing the instant it hits you. I remember standing up from my chair maybe twenty minutes or so later after taking oxycodone orally and "feeling it."

Not sure why people say you can't snort them...

I have done so with every kind of perc/vic, etc...........Always worked better than orally for me....

It may be a really bad idea......but saying you can't do it is flat false IMO....
