im in LA trickk
excuse me if this is the wrong place to put this thread, im new to BL<3.

so heres my question to you:

do you think its a good idea for me to spend any extra (meaning excess that i havent put in my bank account) money on drugs and go out partying and getting shitfaced, etc.? i mean i wouldnt be stupid about it, i use BL ALL the time so i know how to stay healthy and protect my body/brain before/after doing a drug. plz dont go off telling me how i shouldnt do drugs n blahblah, cuz i do it for the experience, not so i can say i do drugs.

For the record im a 16 year old boy, ive got a fucked up past (dont have a real dad, moms kinda psycho) and ive only got about 5 close friends cuz everyone else at my school is homophobic:| but the other day i was thinking about life and came to terms with the fact that everyone eventually dies. its a fucking horrific thought but denial gets you nowhere.

at your age i wouldn't be using drugs at all. plenty of time for that later, when you have half a clue about yourself. there's no rush for these things. i know you don't want to hear this, but in the long run, it is very benefitial to have other passions, interests and hobbies before you get messed up. on the fair chance that you have a problem with them later (it can happen to anyone, especially when so young), then you can use those other interests in aid of your sobriety.

You're right, everyone does eventually die, but not everyone actually lives their life. Just don't do anything you think you'll regret. It won't be a good feeling waking up one day and realizing you haven't done anything with your life except use drugs, and having nothing to show for it. I thought the same thing when I was your age, but now I wish I would of put that money aside and saved it instead. If I would of saved even half of the money I spent on drugs I would probably own a car and have a place of my own. Like L2R said, there's plenty of time to use drugs when your older. I know it probably sounds stupid and your sick of hearing it, or it isn't something you want to hear, but it's true and you don't want to realize it the hard way. I also thought the same thing, that "oh I'm smarter then everyone else and I can pull it off since I'm not stupid like most people and I have bluelight." But reality is if you think that way its going to get to your head and one day it will be too much and too late to turn back. I'm not saying don't do drugs, I'm just saying don't let drugs become the only thing you do or think about. Try to use some moderation, and don't obsess about it. Think about what you want out of life besides drugs and what you want to do in the future. If you live too fast, one day you're going to want it to seriously slow down. The older you'll get, the more you'll realize it actually isn't as old as you perceived it to be and you'll always feel young at heart.

If you wait until you've established a life, have a stable income, and a place of your own, then using drugs will be much more enjoyable and you won't have to worry about the consequences as much. At that time your brain will be fully developed and trust me, you'll appreciate getting high much more and it won't be as damaging to your body since its already grown. You'll probably will take most of this as bullshit and think "how can someone else tell me what's good for me???" All I ask is that you think :)

Take it easy bro, and don't worry about the whole homophobe thing, I feel you there. I only laugh at the energy people waste at hating. If you ever wanna chat I'm open. Peace <3

Life sucks. Life will suck less if you develop some skills and get an education. The quality of your twenties, thirties, and beyond can be greatly enhanced by what you do know. Drugs as a coping mechanism for a shit family life and an alienated high school social life don't seem to work all that well.

I suggest you keep a notebook with ideas for jobs or careers that you would find rewarding/tolerable. Then look at small goals that will help you get there. Some high school teachers and councilors do kids a great disservice by telling kids that this is the best time of their lives. That's true for them maybe and may be a part of why they work in a high school. Most people do not have high school as their golden years. The best times of your life are in front of you. Through a bit of preparation you can make them really awesome.

Drugs just to do drugs often ends up crappy. If you want later on you can become a connoisseur using stuff that really suits you in ideal places as a part of grand adventures. You may find non-drug hobbies that far exceed doing drugs to pass the time as my life sucks stuff. Best of luck to you.

Not at all.

But the important question is, do YOU think it's a good idea? Why? How would you answer the question if someone you care about asked it of you?

It's probably not a good thing, but "living fast and dying young" seems to be the way I'm heading.

If drugs are your reason for getting out of bed in the morning, then drugs are all you'll ever do. Set a bigger objective, and use the drugs for fun instead.

It's a bad idea. Wait until college.

as an analogy, plur4ever, consider this scenario:

should i spend all spare money on fast food and cheap processed takeaway? it tastes good in my mouth and it's easy to get at all hours. what about booze? what about gambling?

clearly the short term pleasures in these and in your scenarios both come at great long term costs.

Man I was in your position once, im 21 now I regret doing all the ecstacy/coc/weed I did, it hurt my grades, hurt my brain, hurt my relationships, wasted my money, affected my college performance, affected all my choices I had some revelations but man for the most part they are so harmful to me man. Be as sober as you can, work hard at school, meet someone nice and get in a good relationship. Love, learn, and stay away from drugs! In the end something I learned.. which is rather obvious... is that no matter how high you are it ends... so your happines escape cannot be in drugs because eventually you come down so its better not pursuing that fleeting pleasure.

i worked straight out of highschool and didn't start uni until my thirties. there are plenty of options open to you, buddy. :)

balance, my friend, balance.

Realize what your priorities are at this moment in your life. Partying and drugs aren't it, but that's not to say there shouldn't be any time for it.

All work and no play, yadda yadda yadda.

Yeah, everybody dies. That's the easy part. What's hard is learning how to live.

The truth is, from where you are now, life is not short. You have a long, long road ahead of you.

Things may seem all fucked up now, but they don't have to be that way forever. You can have a great, happy future. But you gotta try to live a life where that's possible. You gotta try.

Plur4ever, maybe you should take a peek in the BL shrine just for shits, theres alot of young people in there, When I looked over the faces I had a diffrent outlook on this whole Live fast thing myself.

ur mentality is all wrong, but its understandable because ur young. just do good in school, and spend ur money on other things like clothes or videogames or whatever else you've always wanted. then when u get into a good university because u did good in high school, thats when u do the experimenting. TRUST ME, me and ALL the people that didnt do good in high school all regret that fact because all the people that DID do good in high school are livin it up and havin fun at all the crazy college parties and just livin the college experience. and college kids do TONS of experimenting ;)
