I want to go to a rave tonight, only one problem.

I want to roll, the only problem is, I work until probably around 9-9:30. I'll have to drive because I'll need a shower after work, etc. and can't carpool that late. I could skip it, I guess, I just prefer not to skip a shower. I want to roll at the rave. If I'm fully comedown from the molly, will it be safe to drive? The drive would take around 35 minutes and most of it would be on the highway. I'd be done around 3 AM.

btw, I'm not recommending this nor am I condoning it, but I've driven on mushrooms, acid, and marijuana (seperately of course) several times. I don't enjoy it but the circumstances I was in meant drive or get arrested-long story. I plan on taking my 1 point of pure (shard) MDMA about 15 minutes before I expect to arrive to the parking area which is adjacent to the venue.
 
It's never a "safe" idea to drive under the influence of anything- but I think alcohol is the worst thing to drive on a. it impairs your ability to judge how "together" you are and gives you a false sense of confidence, and b. cops can immediately tell if you're drunk with a breathalizer.

With MDMA, if you are coming down, typically you drive cautiously and are (rightfully so) paranoid. If a police officer were to pull you over, they could certainly still perform a sobriety test on you, but I don't think they could prove what substance you were on unless they actually took you in. Keep in mind the pupils are a dead giveaway there. ,

If you roll, I'd only bring a small amount so you're not rolling balls by the time you leave. The safest thing to do is of course not to roll, or roll and take a cab/get a ride. Also, if you feel you have to limit your time and your fun so much, maybe you should just wait it out until you have an opportunity to shower, get there early, roll hard, and have a safe way home that does not involve you driving. To me, the worst circumstances to roll under are when I have to keep tabs on my rolling for any reason. It's such a "let it all go" drug, fighting it with the knowledge you have to be driving in a few hours is kind of a bummer.
 
also, its probably a bad idea to roll before you have to work if you have any real responsibilities at all. Not only will you be sleep deprived, but you will probably be a little cracked out still. just sayin
 
Drive home, shower and then taxi to the rave and try and get a lift home or get public transport - failing that take enough money for a cab.

If your worried about driving after the event its going to be on your mind and you wont have as much fun.

Can you not arrange with the taxi for a cheaper fare if they take you to the event and then collect you?

Cabbies in los angeles willl never comebak for you. They will drive right over you and never look back tho.
 
Sorry to sound idiotic but gauge your driving skills based on other driving experiences while fucked up on other drugs. Me my self, i have driven stoned plenty of times since the age of 15. It can be stress inducing, but i have done it and done it smoothly to. I have also driven under the effects of mdma, like 1 1/2 hour drive once. It was not comfortable i have to tell you, but if you push your self with full focus i think you can manage. If you have fully come down, i think you shouldn't run into any problems.
 
I decided against going, I didn't want to spend money on a taxi so I decided against it. The event ended up going pretty badly anyway. Long story short, TNEDM is never doing an event at that venue again. The rave was shut down cause a 20 yo was found with a beer. The cops came and kicked everyone under 18 out then tried to kick all under 21 out, etc. I plan on planning ahead next time and taking off work, etc.
 
wow suck deal for those that went. I always keep a extra $100 on my when i go to a rave in case i need to take a cab or limo home. I can usually get a cab to pick me up if i call the cab company (its illegal for cabs to stop and pick you on if you wave the down here) and if that fails the limo service will happily screw me for $60-70 to have a town car come and pick me up within 30 mins of a call. $70 may sound like a lot to be willing to spend, but when compared to a arrest, or even a night out at the bar drinking, I make out quite well.
 
Maybe its just me and my brain chemistry (its not tollerance, As I rarely take MDMA) but I can not imagine being too fucked to drive off of a single point of MDMA..

I mean, For me, I usually dose .1 at the beginning of the night, once I have decided for certain that I am where I want to roll and that I do want to roll etc.

Then I usually wait until I feel that and then pop another .1 ... and that leaves me feeling great, but still totally 100% capable of driving safely without risking others lives any more than if I were sober.

The molly Ive been using has been almost clear crystals, with a tiny hint of beige, and it smells like rootbeer so im pretty sure its fairly pure.

I remember when I was younger , like 16 through 20 when I rolled I would get so fucked up that It was like I was in another world, there would be no way I could have driven under the influence then, But now a days, I guess I have lost the magic, because when I dose I still feel great physically, have a bit more emotional empathy , but still 100% functional and no distracting trains of thought or anything.

I am not saying that you should drive, or that you shouldn't But for ME, a point of MDMA is not going to make it any riskier to drive than driving already is sober.
 
Even if you ARE okay to drive... talking to a 5-0 with @.@ eyes wouldn't be too fun if put in that situation.
 
i got into a nutty accident coming down off some pills, not a good idea, good thing the cops felt bad for my total car and the woman i was with to not ask any further questions.
 
Driving while coming down isn't too bad, unless your tired, in which case i'd stay off the road.

Driving when you're peaking is bad... Really bad lol.
