In my experience taking suboxone not too long after IV dosing heroin has never caused me ANY negative effects. I usually wait though until I begin to feel the first withdrawal symptoms or at least check my pupils often, and when they start to get big or at least back to normal, then I dose on Sub. Usually I start out with a very small amount however, even tough I have been practicing this method for quite some time. If I feel ok a half hour later then I will perhaps do a bit more. Please note that I NEVER do Suboxone IV after any other opiate use. I only use this route if I have Suboxone already present in my system in sufficient quantity that I am not experiencing ANY withdrawal effects. Usually any time I am actually in withdrawal or have been using any other opiate or opioid, I will administer Suboxone via intranasal deliviery, and I have NEVER experienced any precipitated withdrawal from this; I never take Sub under the tongue. If you do and you plan to ever take Suboxone via any other route please note that it is more efficient that way and you won't need to take as much. (See top of thread).

PS What did the bag of H weigh? What kind? If you plan to use H during Sub therapy in the future, you might want to take this into account: For me, I usually bang a quarter gram of some nice #3 (tan) for a decent buzz. When I am on suboxone, I will usually do about a .4 (about a seal short of a half gram) to get close to the same effect; even with the dosage increase, the physical effect of the H will be shorter in life.

I have a question for the bupe users...
Last night round midnight I started on SUBOXONE
A nd was able to sleep a little then was waking up this morn unable to really sleep so I took a small bit more
Totaling between 4 and 6 mgs... then today stupidly went and got a bag and banged that... I didn't really feel a nything from the shot didn't make me feel better or anything..

My question is...
When will it be safe for me to take more SUBOXONE?
Since the h didn't really do anything to me does that mean that the subs didn't let it affect me at all?
I'm not feeling much withdrawl symptoms rite now but a little bit of chills

I'm not even sure if it because I'm under opiated or because I'm still getting used to switching from switching from h to the subs still :/

Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

About 12-24 hours after your last H dose, you could always start with a low dose and see how you feel, then take more as convenient. Or simply, when you start feeling the wd's. Try not to waste your money and your effort to get clean by doing so. Subs, especially over 4 mg will block the smack and yes of course that's why you didn't feel it. Think first about what you really want, do you really want to quit? or are you just playing or "filling the gaps"? Whatever you choose, be true to yourself and good luck man

The shot was just a point of tar... usually I can feel a decent rush from that amount....
Usually. Won't get me high but I can feel it hit once the plungers been pushed down u know?

I guess I'm not really sure what I was expecting from that shot, it had only been like 4 hours since I had taken my morning 2 mgs sublingualy since I was in mild withdrawl and woke from my sleep :/

As for what I'm looking for with my sub treatment...
I guess would be filling the blanks between when I can afford dope and not
As I kinda recently am broke

At first I had high hopes for getting off the junk
But today I am really depressed and still didn't feel that great
And definatly don't feel like myself at all

It just makes me wonder if I'm gunna be able to live like this?
Maybe it will get better. I dunno

I wonder if I need to up my dose and then maybe il feel better?
Or is just taking enough so u don't get any physical wd symptoms all sub does?

This is something similar to what I discovered after first quitting the heroin and crack.

I soon realised these drugs filled a void or hole in my psyche or mental state that was somehow better off with the drugs. Then, I realised how shitty I felt without drugs. And how terrible my life had become.

It was really depressing for a while; then I decided to go to college to take my mind off the drugs. It pretty much worked. I did use once or twice during college, but that was because I kept in touch with my drug taking friends.

As soon as I cut off all ties with dealers, and drug addicts, I hit the wall of addiction and basically got forced to sort my life out. It is not sorted 100% even 4 years on, but hey, that is life, and it takes a life time to sort it!

Man, the megathread seems to have slowed down since V12. Hope everyone's doing all right. I'm doing OK. I've managed to avoid the oxycodone for almost a month now. It's been at least two years since that happened.

Bupe is strange. When I first switched over to it, I was no longer constipated the way I was on oxy. Now that I'm on a somewhat stable dose, it seems to have the same effect. I was down to about 1 mg a day or less last week and have gone up a little bit to deal with my pain issues. Yesterday I took at least 2 mg, maybe more (slacked on the note-taking) and was constipated like a motherfucker. Does that sound at all normal (or, at least, not unheard of)?

My doctor has always given me the regular suboxone, orange, nasty ass tablets. 2 weeks ago he gave me something new. Suboxone strips. They are like those listerine strips that yoiu put on your tongue and it slowly dissolves. I haven't tried em yet, i've had enough orange tablets, but this seems kind of weird. Anyone else try these? My doc said its exactly the same...

I know what you mean. I always feel bad for whoever uses the work bathroom after I've done my duty. I took some milk magnesia tonight, so I'm hoping to feel some relief soon enough.

Yeah, I was into 'em at first, but I had my doc put me back on the pills. Taste has never been an issue for me 'cause I have no sense of smell (probably due to multiple sinus surgeries).

Also, welcome fellow South Floridian. There seems to be quite a few of us, though that's not surprising given the propensity of opiates down here.

I haven't been posting much either because nothing new has happened with my Subutex use. Basically, I've been on supervised daily collections of 4mg for the past two months. It's not like I can keep posting the same information!

How ever, my buddy Lee came over last night and my sister told him I wasn't at home. He got irate as well, I heard every word. I'm thinking of going to his mother's house to find out his new address, but I'm worried he'll get me back on the heroin.

That is why I burnt the letter he sent Christmas week, with his mobile number in it.

But, I'm also attending a hackerSpace event tonight, in my local city centre. To make new friends who are not on drugs. I'm cutting the past friends out of my life, to make way for a new life with computer nerds!

just done 20mg valium and approx 1mg bupe sublingual, i have benzo tolerance but no opiate tolerance, should this be enough for a good high? If its not enough in an hour what is redosing like with bupe? (no tolerance at all)

Erm, you don't get high from Bupe. Sorry to lay that on you, brotha. But, when I tried it just did not work?

sorry to say this dude, but people with low opiate tolerance (even moderate opiate tolerance) get mega high on bupe, im feeling better than i do on oxy

If you are a H user or someone using it for for maintanance obviously it just stops the wds. Have you read the thread? It IS recreational for alot of people.

Im just wondering when to redose or whether mixing trams will help, as i know trams is one opiate thats not affected by bupes blocking ability.

I used to be way into benzos but managed to avoid getting hooked. Last time I did Valium I was already drunk and it put me in a semi-blacked-out state. I remember showing my wiener to random people and was told I tried to cut off my friend's toes with a pair of scissors. That was 16 years ago, when I was about 18 or 19. I stopped drinking at 22 (liver condition), and since then my level of idiocy has been within the legal limits.

been going well, very nice high with valium, not too much at all, added 150mg tramadol and increased the europhia loads, will leave it at that should last a good few hours.

I'm finally Naloxone-headache free!! Back on Subutex and it feels great.
i'm also noticing some Euphoria to be back, something i completely forgot about with that month of Suboxone. After extensively trying all 3 Subutex (R.B, Roxane and Teva) and Suboxone, i would have to say that those headaches people talk about are real and a true pain in the ass, as i wasn't holding my head or rolling from pain, but it was a slight pain in the middle of my head and it was there to stay as long as i was dosing. I even lowered to 0.5 mg. and still! Imagine having that pain, daily for a whole month!! The 1st day i was back on Subutex, i went home and got rid of those last orange mg.'s, I freakin' hate them!
My main concern now is the euphoria, is it simply not really there when Buprenorphine is mixed with Naloxone? I dont think that it's just me as I did read about some similar observations from B.L'ers, and the notion that "Naloxone doesn't do anything" has been proven wrong, by myself at least!
I had a headache for a month! Crazy!
Anyways, glad to be "normal" again

And 1 mg with no tolerance, you will feel it for sure if it's not already too much! I did some experimentation on my opiate-naive fiancee,
and as low as 0.5mg, she still threw up!

^the experience of euphoria is very psychological... oftentimes people will say that pain patients do not experience the same euphoria as recreational users and as a chronic pain patient, I've certainly found that to be true.

If I were in massive, unbearable pain and went to the ER and they shot me up with a few mg of hydromorphone when I was in pain, I might feel a slight high but nothing compared to the euphoria if I took the dose without being in a lot of pain.

Pain is distracting and dysphoric so I view it as psychologically counteracting the euphoric effects. I'm not sure if I'm offering the best explanation, but based on my experiences and understanding, it makes sense for the headaches themselves to kill some of the euphoria so to speak.

Strange you mention headaches. because, on Subutex, shortly after dissolving the pills, I get a mild headache each time. It usually fades after a hour or so though.

yeah sub gives me sort of a migraine like sensitivity to light, along with headache, and cant eat much till it goes away
