Backpack Stolen- Has Meds in it.

I recently was prescribed 124 Norcos for back problems. I was at the train station putting money on my card. I went upstairs to catch train and noticed my backpack was not with me.

I ran downstairs to the machine and it was gone. I asked the lady at the desk if anyone turned it in. She said 'no'. I'm going to file a police report to the cops tomorrow.

I don't want to be a hassle to my Doctor with the 'I lost it' bs. Will the police report validate that this really happened or at least lower his suspicion.

Don't want to come off as an abuser but i need something for my back so can work.

Any replies appreciated!

Brian

My xanax was once stolen, which is prescribed to me by my rheumatologist.....I just called them to let them know and the doctor said it happens and called me in another script, so I didnt even need a police report, but I think obtaining would help your cause.

Totally depends on the doctor. I know from a friends expierence that even though he filed a police report the doctor still refused to let him get a new script for Adderall.

Even if the doctor is willing, be aware insurance usually won't pay for refills early for any reason, so you'll have to pay it all yourself.

I once had a guy give me a bunch of xanax and ritalin to trade for meth. It took longer than expected and he called the cops saying I stole his pills. They didn't believe him, but I damn sure didn't bring him anything. Next time I see him I'm taking all his pills, good luck getting the cops to believe him this time. But I'm gonna kick the shit out of him so he can get some pain pills. Then I might rob him for those, too.

Choose your friends carefully. Choose your enemies very, very carefully.

no offence mate but if i found a bag with 124 narco's in it i wouldent hand it in......im sure a police report will add some validity to what your telling your doc....good luck! =D

Most people would do the same, just watch the Drug Culture forums to see if anybody posts about finding 124 norcos :P

I would make a police report and be honest with your doctor. Unless this has happened before he will more likely than not be happy to write you another script provided you're more careful with your pills :)

Good luck man.

See, this is what I would do, and it really makes no sense. I would take maybe half the bottle of norcos, put the bottle back half-empty, and return it. Why not just take all of the pills? Because even though taking half of the prescription would put someone in the same hellish predicament as taking all of the pills (especially when one considers the prescription might be legit for pain relief), well, it would make me feel like a little less of a scumbag to take just half. I know, it makes no sense.

But on a different note, I really do hope that you get your bag back. It sucks having something taken. I remember having my wallet taken and feeling the most anxiety I have ever felt before.

I concur. I once had my wallet stolen with a large amount of cash in it and I was so pissed off. I also remember one time where I was at a party when I was younger and someone stole my coat which had 50 x 10mg diazepam tablets in it! I managed to chase them down though, kicked them in the face, took back my coat and returned to the party, having popped a few of the tabs. Good times.
