Dealers giving lower quality stuff once you're addicted

hey guys-

just wondering if anyone has had experience with this:

my friend recently told me that he's known dealers (specifically coke dealers) to give people lower quality product once they're aware that the customer is addicted. not sure how valid that is, but i have noticed that the none of the stuff i was given since the first time i bought from him was nearly as good.

do you think that actually happens, and have dealers ever done that to you?

i've heard about this in every drug education class i ever took growing up. i'm not sure whether or not it happens so much in real life. i can definitely see the guy cutting coke a little less the first time or something so that it might seem more amazing, but it's going to be really obvious if it suddenly descends to complete shit. maybe the dealer can make a one-time "big score" using such a tactic, but otherwise, why do you keep buying from the guy if it is noticeably a lot worse? i know mental addiction to coke is a bitch and all, but come on.. if you stop, you're kind of lethargic for a couple days (if you've been doing coke on a daily basis for a while).

i could see this being done a lot more in the opiate arena- getting people hooked on higher quality h (e.g., it takes one bag to feel amazing), and then cutting it a lot more and blaming it on tolerance. then you've got people physically ill if they say no, and a plausible reason why it's taking more than it used to.

either scenario relies on the lack of a free market in your area, in which case you probably go along w/ whatever the dealer there says if you choose to do drugs anyway
 
ive known people to give you the good stuff the first few times and then start cutting it once youre a regular customer..
 
the reason i called the dealer in the first place was because of how good his shit was when other people gave it to me, it's in the last month or two that the quality has been less good. do you think it's likely that business has been a bit slower for him and he needed to cut it more to make enough of a profit? i just wonder if he could get away with that...
 
^for sure. but if he starts selling you complete shit, that dude loses you as a reg customer as soon as the guy down the block starts cutting it a little less.

also, it could be that the guy isn't/can't get less cut stuff anymore. he could be stretched thin and have to try to make as much as possible off smaller amounts. there are infinite reasons why dealers try this, but if it's consistently not good, either tell the guy and let him try to redeem himself, or stop going to him.
 
it depends man.. theres really no way to tell. some batches are better than others, you konw? but if you feel youre getting ripped off you should try to find a new connect
 
you're right. maybe move on for a while and try again later to see if he's shaped up? he really did have some FIRE shit a while back.

what's tempting is just the fact that he's incredibly prompt compared to almost all of the other dealers i've had experience with (he almost always delivers to you within a half hour no matter where you are) and there's something to be said for that. i've called many dealers who took like 2 hours to come to me or never showed up at all. needless to say, i was pissed and never called them again.

i guess it could happen but theyd have to be the only game in town to keep making money. Whenever my main guy who usually has really good dope starts servin up subpar shit i go to somebody else for a while, then when i call him again and he asks where i was i tell him his shit sucked so i went to somebody else to give him time to get rid of it and get his good shit back.

usually gets the point across.

id also say its probably a good idea to not let them know if theyre your only source, and maybe casually work in how you went to another guy the other day who had bomb shit, even if you really didnt.

i duno, i'm a 16 year old white kid dealing with big guys who most definitely carry guns, i don't know that i'm comfortable saying something like that when i'm sitting in the back of his car, about to cop. it seems like many people on here are buying from people they at least kind of know rather than delivery services.

coke dealers in new york are, for the most part, pretty intimidating.

dont act scared, and dont be a dick. Nobodys gonna shoot you for telling the truth, so long as you act right.

i know what you mean though and sometimes its better safe than sorry.
 
absolutely true around the entire world. But there ARE good quality humans left some places and they treat others well all of the time.

I know of 1. All the others are gone.
 
Maybe if he knows that you have no other connections he may stretch his shit out some so that you keep coming back for more because your addicted and need to get that feeling you once did with his good shit. If he's a middle man than yeah, I'm sure that he may take the opportunity if he uses also. Take some off the top.

I doubt he uses. he's super official and delivers all over downtown NY, it seems like it's just a job to him more than anything. I just doubt he has the time to ponder whether or not i have other sources. I definitely do, they're just not nearly as prompt and i still have the memory of when he had AMAZING shit stuck in my head. like i always keep buying in the hopes that he'll, for some reason, have it again.
 
I've had some dodgy cunt give mates of mine good stuff (a line or 2) then sell them much lower quality stuff.. Same guy gave mates a good half G or so 1st time then crap the second time..

Guy was little gremlin prick.
 
Yeah I have definitely heard of this happening before with cocaine, but not with heroin or anything else. No one really expects good cocaine this far up north anyway, I don't think.

EDIT: In fact, my girlfriend remembers seeing a deal go down once "in the club." (It's not my scene, but it used to be hers.) She remembers seeing the guy, an acquaintance of hers, give a bump to someone and then cut it right there in the club before handing over the bag to his new customer or whatever.
