I couldn't find any recent threads about this so thought I would start a new one.

Who gets creative when using MDMA ?

This isn't a thread about light shows so dont post them in here but more for people who write poems, draw, do graffitti, write stories, build or make things, sculpt etc

Anyone care to share / show us your work?

I get emotionally creative while on MDMA, and I mean that in a good way =) I have no art skill, besides photography, and could never bring myself to be interested enough to take long exposures of people dancing. Those pictures get old. I don't think I could ever gather enough concentration to just roll and go around taking pictures. Usually if I'm inebriated, especially MDMA style where euphoria pushes concentration out the window, I think everything is turning out good and upon looking at it later I realize I was just really fucking high.

Until I saw your bold text I could just hear people saying 'man well, I totally pulled of the triple lighted butterfly tap dance.' heh.

DJ'ing / Live Remixing

best creative thing to do on mdma, every1 loves dance music on e, what better to have totaly control and manipulaton of your finezt audio :D

(I would link a mix or 2 but dont want to be seen a douche spammer, lol)

I once rebuilt a small stand @ a big festival in Holland. Nobody appreciated it :) Other than that (to anwser the question srsly) i've once tried to get some photoshop going but was too distracted to git her done! The only real thing i get out of my hands is music (home productions with a tracker). When i listen to them the day after they are all, without exception, the most hideous thing you'll ever hear.

I am not creative in an artistic way at all. I would like to be, but I am terrible at drawing, painting etc.

When I am rolling, I don't really notice a spike in creativity during the roll, but I can say that all of the crafty skills I have are a direct reaction of rolling. If I never had, I don't see any reason why I would sew for example.

Upload a mix by all means :) - if your playing a mix done sober and one done when your high can you hear the difference?

Does playing sober feel dull ?

When MDMA was around i used to TRY to draw the weird images/face's i see in my head when i was rolling REALLY HARD but it would always end up some ebstract fucked up odd picture a few turned out nice but the most of em where just mess's

I'm a musician, and I find it impossible to concentrate on being creative while rolling. I might suddenly get the urge to play guitar, sing a song or something, and almost as soon as I pick it up, I decide I'd rather dance, or lie down on the floor and rub my face on the carpet. I can see how DJ'ing would be good though.

i get insanely creative on mdma, been playing guitar for over 10 years, so its natural, but seems like my hands are loosened up, faster when i roll. i recently started producing drum and bass and a little dub as well. i can play any instrument and write music farely well, but on mdma it seems like it just flows a lot better, i just started dj'in a few months ago and ive already got great at it, but ive been in a mdma break for over 2 months now

Since OCF last june, when some trippin' kid smashed my dearest guitar Alice's neck in half, I have been without a guitar. I am still fairly decent because I have a couple of years under my belt, but without a guitar to practice with my hands seem to forget a lot of the things my brain remember. On MDMA, this is greatly reduced, and it feels natural to play the things that felt natural when I was closer to my prime. I love to play music on MDMA.

Master Splinter: You know that feeling when a song just washes over you, and you feel how you felt at your first rave, alive and apart of things, pure? Sometimes, I get that when I hear a good dubstep song and I'm in the right place. Apparently I was in the right place, dude. Sick remix :)

Awesome thread idea Bear.
I love to molest my bass when im coming down. :)
crank up the amp so it shakes my house. and just play what ever comes to mind.
soo fun

Hmm.. nice thread :)

I tend to be quite ambitious and creative in my music-writing on small doses of MDA.. pretty similarly to how LSD brings out these ideas in me

Psychedelics tend to stimulate my creative hemispheres or abstract thinking; so as MDMA is quite a bit less psychedelic in nature than MDA, it seems that my thoughts on MDMA tend to be in-the-moment, experiential and visceral rather than transcendental and introspective --

Of course MDA is like the best of both worlds in that sense, tho it seems with low doses a more introspective and slightly stimulating trip in comparison to medium-high dose experiences, which tend to be more viscerally-stimulating overall.. at which point creative ideas (and thought processes in general) seem to become too abstract to apply to anything concrete in the world

I have not noticed an increase in creativity, although it is only recently that I am beginning to explore my creative side. I suppose MDMA may have played a role in this by allowing me to experience certain emotions that otherwise I was unaware of, which has increased my desire to find avenues of expression. I do find that weed has the potential to open up my creativity too.

I love to write, and I think up some crazy shit shile I'm rolling. Unfortunately, I can't seem to focus enough to put any of that crazy shit down on paper. I just try to remember anything I can, and write it down later.

Also banging on my drums is fucking awesome while rolling!

Poi, and fire poi if your comfortable with it (this is definitely not harm reduction)

Most of you will say that anyways, to those who haven't spun fire, it is pretty easy to not hurt yourself. None of me or my friends has any serious burns. I have one small one that was from a hot chain, the poi were out at that point.

But I have hit myself square in the face with a fire snake, and it scared the shit out of me and i haven't spun them since, but i wasn't hurt other than some singed eyelash and facial hair.

I dont do spiral wraps without gloves and arm protection, and i would rather do it above my head than in wall plane. And thats really the only move i can think of that would be really dangerous other than wearing plastic clothing, flame test it.

Glow poi are a safer option, Flow Lights makes some great stuff.

Digital art student reporting. awww yeah get all kinds of crazy ideas when I'm rolling. here's a few things I've conceptualized while under the influence/ ones having to do directly with mdma. Haven't actually produced while rolling though...

I've always loved clouds.

This just popped into my head on the comedown once. The petals sort of unfurled in my head

Had this job for like 2 weeks, came up with a few less-good ideas before while leaving an event one night, this idea came to me.

Oh, and I did want to say something about how the decrease in inhibition and the altered perception seems to be the key to increased creativity while rolling.

-You let yourself think through so many more ideas, finding the merits in each one. Often, we dismiss ideas as bad before we even form them, and forget to take the good part of even the worst idea to use with a new idea.

-Just as MDMA breaks down barriers between people, I find it breaks down my mental categorical barriers. I make so many connections I would never have thought of sober.

The most beautiful thing is that, post roll, you realize that the drug didn't make you more creative, it just tapped into a well you might not have known was there, and shows you how many barriers and rules about thinking are self-imposed, and should be thought of as fluid.
