Hey guys, as I'm sure some of you know I have a VERY high tolerance to benzos. I just took 11mg Lorazepam and can feel it but it's nothing like 19+mg.

I'm bored atm and have 180mg Codeine. Now, my codeine tolerance is MASSIVE, I can do 700mg and hardly feel a thing.

Will taking this 180 Codeine on top of the 11mg Ativan in my system be dangerous? Keep in mind I have a high tolerance to both drugs.

Thanks in advanced.

Opiate/benzo combos as you know can be very dangerous, and I don't know if the combo in your description would be dangerous for you. But, if you can barely feel 700 mg's of codeine, why even take 180 mg's, and risk your safety? I would advise you to save the codeine for another time, because if you are questioning a potential combo, it very well might not be the smartest idea. 11 mg's of Ativan is a LOT, even taking into consideration your tolerance, so my advice would be not to take the codeine.

That's a lot of lorazepam. While you clearly have a tolerance to benzos, adding codeine to the mix changes things, I would either not take the codeine at or all or reduce your dose.

Benzos and opiates can be a very dangerous combination if you don't watch your dosing.

You say you take 700 mg's, and can barely feel a thing. Beacause of this, I don't see any real advantage in taking 90 mg's, especially when there is a risk involved. Opiate/benzo combos are just so risky, I would have to advise to save the codeine. 11 mg's of ativan is a LOT, like I said, even if it might not seem it, and even if you have a decent tolerance. I just wouldn't do it.

Do you have experience mixing the two before? If you have a tolerance I think you should be fine. Codeine is not a very strong opiate.

If you are used to taking 19+ mg of Lorazepam and used to taking 700+ mg of Codeine, then I think if you combine the two at 11mg and 180mg you should be okay.

*In the name of harm reduction, this is a very dangerous and possibly lethal combination. Proceed with caution my friend.

You probably wouldn't die, but at that dosage of lorazepam I doubt you would remember how great the high was anyway. In the interest of harm reduction, however, save the codeine for another time.

It is the combination of those two substances that could be potentially very dangerous. It is especially notorious for how dangerous it can be. It bears repeating, 11 mg's of Ativan really is a lot, even if it might not feel like it, and even if you have a large tolerance. It also bears repeating, why even take the risk?

You should remember too that just because you have a tolerance and don't feel the "fun" effects, the side effects can still accumulate.

For example my friend had a codeine addiction and as he increased his dosage the itching and hives would continue to get worse and worse, but the euphoria and sedation was almost nonexistent.

Lorazepam and Codeine are the two Benzo/Opiates that I've never been able to feel. All the other ones I've used and they've done what they needed to do but Lorazepam only jacked my tolerance because I'd still take my regular dose of xanax on top of it since I couldn't feel it. This led to WD's from hell when I stopped the Lorazepam.

Anyway, back to the topic of the thread.

I wouldn't even bother with the Codeine, you don't want to risk it. I regularly combine benzos and opiates, but I never take benzos recreationally so the dose is always the same.

It only takes one time of taking one too many pills to take you to the Big Sleep from which you never wake, I wouldn't risk it, especially with codeine. It's not worth it. I hope you're not taking that much Ativan every day, it's no fun coming off that stuff.

Be careful.

Alright, new day. I'm bored as shit again.
I realise that 11mg is a very high dose to be mixing, but what if I were to mix 4mg Lorazepam and 180mg Codeine?

I've mixed the two before, around 2mg Ativan and 400mg Codeine.

I have a very high Codeine tolerance and a very high Lorazpem tolerance, so I assume 4mg Lorazepam and 180mg Codeine should be fine?

No, don't get me wrong. I've NEVER mixed 700mg Codeine/11mg Lorazepam.
I can take 650mg Codeine no problem and 11mg Lorazepam over 2 hours is normal too.

So you'd say 4mg Lorazepam and 180mg Codeine should be safe, right? They should also potentiate each other?

Again I worn against this. You likely have overestimated your lorazepam tolerance, as it can be subtle in some ways, but even if you have a hefty tolerance 4 mg is still quite a bit. When you combine that with an opiate, that you have said only provides desirable effects at around 700 mg, you are taking an unnecessary risk. I just don't understand why you would want to take such a risk with likely little reward? I still advise against this combo. The pleasurable effects of these drugs may not be apparent at "lower" doses, but that doesn't mean they aren't still working, and it doesn't mean a combo like this would be safe.

I know my tolerance very well. For around 6 months I was taking 6mg+ of Ativan at once daily or 90-120mg Temazepam a day.

4mg lorazepam with 180mg codeine LOL I doubt you'd feel a thing if your used to taking 11-19mg of lorazepam and 700mg codeine. In my opinion you cut your usual dose in half of each...in your situation not everybody else

So, in general this is a safe combo considering my tolerance?
