White specks in pills

So, if you shave off about half of a pill, i usually see little white specks.

I've been told this is MDMA?

Or is it speed?

it can be anything.
theres no way to know what is in the pill unless you chemically test it.
those white specks could be powdered sugar for all you know.

I think discolored pills, or specks are merely the result of the coloring agent not mixing perfectly- that's all. Keep in mind, ecstasy pills aren't made by Johnson & Johnson, they aren't goin to necessarily be colored, pressed etc. completely perfectly.

This is not a pill id question - they are asking about the contents of a pill when they cut it open. I think its a valid question

This can be many things -- from glitter to plastic to various other things. It's generally a marketing ploy to get you to buy the pill (ie "That's the meth / MDMA in the pill!!").

Test your pills. You can get a test kit for fairly cheap at http://dancesafe.org/products/testing-kits .
