The life of a Raider fan

I am a born raider fan, grew up in the great state of California.

But yeah our season is over yet again.. 8-8 is an improvement however, Tom Cable was let go Nnamdi Asomuagh is a free agent, richard seymour as well as Michael bush.

What are we going to do? I mean who are we going to resign we lack a number one draft pick due to the seymour deal which I at first thought was a terrible trade but hell were not picking in the top ten this year. However, if we fail to re sign seymour we will be screwed.

As for coach Im probabaly one of the few Raider fans actually happy with the move of letting him go. This last year improvements I think were mainly due to our new cordinator Hue Jackson who should be named our head coach.

The main reason why I would like to see Hue Jackson named as our head coach he reminds me of Jon Gruden with his approach to the game of football. His game plans seem to be extremely aggressive even more so than gruden.

The offesne this last season had life Run DMC was actually made a play maker and was used as a staple to our offesne.

"We are not losers anymore" ? wtf is that about? Comments like that are a disgrace to this franchise. they hint at accepting mediocrity.

Al Davis is the godfather, and I will be a fan of his till i die( which will probably be before he dies)

This team has more young talent than any other in the NFL,( look at the roster if you dont agree) The last draft was exceptional.

in 2 years they will be a real force in the NFL again.

I truly believe that fans of all other teams admire the anti establishment of the Raiders and the chaos and characters they bring to the NFL, the league needs the Raiders, or else its as boring as the NBA.

In two years the team has the potential to be dominant, not worried about Seymour leaving, hell did you see Houston, Kelly and Shaughnessy this year?

Wait till we get a tackle to go alongside Veldheer( If Bruce Campbell isnt the answer) and watch us go. our crop of WR is probably the best young crop in the NFL

Yeah our team will own the west in a few years the chargers are on the decline, they never treat there players right either so its going to be harder for them to get free agents.
 
I hear Gallery is now voiding his contract as well, and we have 25 FA's.

One thing you cannot accuse Al Davis of is not knowing football, the guy is a legend at manipulating the Salary Cap, think he is freeing up space to go for one or two massive FA moves this offseason.

I miss the hard-hitting glory days of the Raiders VS Steelers... even though the hey day of that rivalry was before my time... in my younger years even a casual NFL fan could see some remnants of hatred there. it seems like the Baltimore Ravens have usurped the spot of the Raiders in that long-ago esteemed AFC rivalry

as a Steelers fan, going 8-8 is akin to a four win season for the fans of other franchises, so I agree with you not accepting such anecdotes

but you Oakland fans really like Al Davis?? damn, you really must be true fans - I thought everybody hated him. I think he is a horrible owner

lots of my friends are Cleveland Browns fans, and I think that they get a little retarded in their loyalty to the Browns. or as I call it - Browns-tarded

so, please don't get Raiders-tarded here. don't respect your decrepit owner just because he is the owner of your team. don't get too much behind the mantra of "until next year!" I can't tell you how many times I have heard my Browns friends proclaim this slogan, and it stings with desperation more every year

BUT good on ya'll for being true fans :)
 
How about the life of a Texans fan...........we keep getting better and get to 9-7 last year. This year looks good they say, blah blah.......6-10! Then our owner keeps our coach another year. At least the Raiders are looking up.
 
Al stop this charade and hire Hue.

DC Marshall has also been "let go"

I bet the old man flirts and dances with whichever OC is flavor of the month, before being knocked back and hiring Hue( while claiming he was #1 choice all along)

Its become an annual even for us fans ( well almost)

Most are speculating that Al was waiting for Ravens to get knocked out, and thus enable Hue Jackson to raid his old employers for assistant coaches,

HA! I got you all beat! Bengals fan here. At least both the Bills and Raiders have made it to the SB in the last 20 years.

All I've gotten to enjoy is seeing Carson Palmer get his knee shattered in the Bengals playoff game in 2005 and seeing them get ousted easily in 2009 against the Jets.

At least Ochostinko has been humorous the past decade...sometimes:\
 
Well we have our head coach Hue Jackson, but what worries me and makes me laugh at the same time was Al davis and how he kept talking shit on Tom Cable lol.
 
VERY happy about Al Saunders and his 700 page playbook coming to Oakland.

This team has the potential to score 500 points next year.
 
Same it will be exciting to see wonder if chad johnson will be a raider...
