First time LSD question

Sorry not to have more detail but I have a friend taking lsd for the first time
She told me she take 10mg's a day of 'x' to help with anxiety

I wont be able to talk to her for a week to get details but am curious if this will effect the L?

Problem is I am not sure if it is a benzo or anti-depressant.

Any feedback on either will be greatly appreciated.

Haven't had a first-hand experience with it and I don't know someone that has either.
But judging it by the mode-of-action of benzo's and SSRI (typical antidepressant), I suppose:
- Antidepressant will not have a major influence on intensity of the trip
- Benzo will definitely cause the trip to be much less intense, although this partly depends on if it's a short- or long-acting benzo and if it has active metabolites.

However, what you should be worried about:

Yeah...that is part of the reason for my question as well

She has had great trips on shrooms and never once a scary moment
Smart girl, good head on her shoulders, just likes to keep busy, busy

The thread or question isn't worth much unless you know what drug it is she is on. If it's a tiny dose (10 mg) then I am less inclined to think it is a benzo, other drugs might have a significant interaction. Before she takes any LSD I strongly recommend checking contraindications to see if the combo is okay.

If mushrooms worked then most of the same things apply for LSD, it makes an SSRI less likely because that can really make the trip very weak.
Something like lithium would be very bad to take with psychedelics.

I agree with doubts about anxiety management + psychedelics. It really depends on the nature and cause of the anxiety and the intensity and many other factors. In some instances tripping may have therapeutic value but there are dangers as well not to be ignored, by that I am thinking of a nasty increase in anxiety post-trip.
