Hey all...

I recently quit using jwh-018 a week ago and I was smoking a gram a week. (Not sure if that's uncommon, yes I realize that is a lot) Anyway ever since quitting I have been in a completely manic/anxious state of mind. I wake up with panic attacks but then it gets better throughout the day.

Is this normal? I'm guessing it has to do with gaba levels...and how long may this last?

edit; i should also add that i've had many other withdrawl symptoms, like clammy skin, going from hot to cold very fast etc.

I read all the time that people say there are no withdrawl symptoms for this compound and it is definitely bs. This feels like I'm getting off of hard drugs

You may want to check out this thread: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=495400

As for me, the sweating, nausea and panic attacks went away after about two weeks of discontinuation. However, I have been left with the headaches for about 7 months now. . . Anyone who tells you there is no withdrawal is either a) using it once a week or very little, or b) bulshitting you, or c) so fucked up they don't even realize the withdrawal. . .

Good luck.

I once saw someone totally freak out after smoking synthetic cannaboids, we had to call him an ambulance. He was on some anti anxiety medication we found out afterwards. I used to use them, going through periods of smoking it for a week or so, and then not for a few weeks after that. Sometimes it was an indescribable high, but some of my experiences on it were very shitty involving me clinging on to my sanity by telling myself I am on drugs and this will pass. They are definitely a mind fucker. However, the bright side here is they are not addictive! You say this feels like getting off hard drugs, it might be very shitty right now, but ask yourself this "Do I want to use it again?" I hope the answer is "No". The worst is feeling like absolute shit and still wanting to do the thing that made you feel that way. You will get over it! At the very least every cell in your body is replaced every 20 years :)

Edit: by "not addictive" I mean in the chemical sense of creating a need for itself.

Thanks alot man, the fact that your anxiety went down after a couple of weeks is very good news to me. I mean I'm talking panic attacks, phenibut helps me greatly with it and then I'm left feeling very manic (happy) to the point that I feel like a goofball haha. I feel that using this drug was incredibly stupid of me but I've definitely learned something. Lucky I'm not experiencing the headaches (just very mild ones) and i wish you the best of luck with those.

edit; Reading that thread was very unsettling, I hope everybody can figure out how to cure the headaches

well my best guess on what makes it addictive for me is how using it all the time keeps gaba levels high, then when I stop using it...bam panic attacks probabily similar to discontinuing benzos. I should note that I have a pre-existing anxiety disorder though as well

I will add one more thing which is actually positive...i'm a bodybuilder and since quitting this stuff ten days ago I have leaned out tremendously=D

did you say a fucking gram of powder a week?

Yes...Tolerance builds rapidly to this stuff believe me. I didn't notice any bad effects while using, just once I stopped. It doesn't seem uncommon for people to go through that much judging from many people on this forum. BTW I would never recommend this stuff to anybody.

Update?

How are you feeling now placebo? I am into my 3rd week off and i still have anxiety...some mild headaches and tremors. But i did blends and probably only smoked 20 or so gs of a blend similar to k2 in potency, over a 5 month period.

I took .25 mg klonopin today because the depressed anxiety was no longer worth it. Most of my symptoms improved.

yeah JWH is some weird shit; i dont see its appeal considering it's just similar to a weed high, and weed has a generally well-understood safety profile

I've gotten all of that (especially mania, anxiety, and clammy hands) during periods of heavy marijuana smoking. Sure, it's MUCH less potent, but good Sativa bud isn't that much less powerful or different if you take the right dose.

I've smoked this shit for over a year now, almost daily. At most, I would smoke 70mg-100mg at once and that would basically make me trip for 15 minutes and stay high for an hour+. Eating 150mg would have me the same high as eating 2gs of cannabis. You had impure product, plain and simple, OR you were abusing the fuck out of an RC. This thread is very old.... not sure why it was ressurected when we have mega threads.
