Why do you smoke tobacco?

And as you get older and older it gets harder and harder to justify the habit.
You start losing people to it, my grandfather, my mother-in-law, some colleagues, an old high school friend etc. I guarantee, it will happen to you in your life time, you will lose people to smoking related diseases.
You know the most stupid thing, the only reason why it isn't worth it? why i resent, not being an addict as such, just being addicted to Nicoteen.
Because unlike other drugs, it has NO beneficial effects whatsoever! NONE! Zip. squat. fuck all.
The first time you smoked.... was that pleasant? No. You thought you were gonna hurl it was so disgusting. it's a poison. If ALL the nicoteen in a pack of smokes was consumed at any one time, hypotheticlly, it would kill you.
People report a feeling of "relaxation" or that smoking helps with anxiety or stress.

The only thing that scares me more than giving up is how much harder it will be tomorrow, next month, next year...and in 20 years time when i wont stand a chance

So amen to your post.

Why don't you guys supplement with a lot of full spectrum antioxidants? I read in a study with mice that the equivalent (in humans) of 40 mg of vitamin c per cigarette inhaled completely negates the free radical buildup associated with nicotine smoke.

So why not just supplement with vitamin c, vitamin e, zinc, vitamin a and also something like fish oils if everyone is so worried about getting cancer from free radical damage?

Vitamin supplements are NOT going to help me put down a cigarette. Not even if I could smoke them.

No. My point is that they will negate the free radical damage from cigarette toxins and thus eliminate or greatly reduce the chance of getting cancer from smoking.

If everyone is so petrified of getting cancer and continue to smoke the least they could do is get up off their ass and purchase some antioxitants.

I am not so terrified of cancer. Chances that I'll get it are high anyway and people keep on dying around me from it anyway. I kinda expect it. I just don't want to smoke anymore, it's ridiculous to be so addicted to something that doesn't even get you high and cost so much and makes you stink like death. That's what I hate. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Nicotine!!!!

It's just a habit really, most of the time they are not that enjoyable. I usually only smoke 1/4 pack a day

The exception is when I'm fucked up, then cigarettes are like the blood flowing through my veins, especially stims, I can easily smoke 1-2 packs a day at that point

what a perfect world that would be if you could just take a vitamin and not ever have to worry about developing cancer from smoking tobacco 8)

If you eliminate the cancer causing toxins with antioxitants you greatly reduce (or eliminate) the probability of getting cancer. Why make a big deal over nothing? 8)
