OxyContin's change may boost heroin use

I love the OP's. They sell for half what the OC's did where I live and anyone who thinks they can't be injected clearly doesn't visit BL. I don't bother, IV oxy doesn't have enough advantage over oral to be worth poking a hole in my arm.

I've always gotten roxy 30mg IR's, so this has no effect on me whatsoever. I hated dealing with 80's in the first place, and the IR's have always been cheaper anyways.

Heroin seems to be expensive as hell in South Florida compared to everywhere else, while oxy is the cheapest available opiate. I don't think that this will effect my fellow South Florida junkies all that much.

Roxies were pretty hard to find for a while until recently. I guess if you go to a mom and pop pharmacy it's not as bad, but I had a bitch of a time at Walgreens in Palm Beach County.

I don't see why anyone would do pharms when most people can get pretty decent heroin for a cheap price(unless you get some pharms on the very cheap)

I think this is the case especially when dealing with the suburbs. Pharmaceuticals are much more socially acceptable while heroin has a nasty stigma attached to it even though the differences in potency/high aren't that much as long as you do equivalent amounts.

South florida junkies are going to get mass fucked whenever they get around to closing the pill mills which is going to happen sooner or later.

I don't agree most people can get cheap heroin. The northeast can for sure.. definitely not the whole country though. Also, I've met plenty of people who have pharmie opiate addictions who would never touch heroin even if they were sick. Some people won't cross the line because the stigma of heroin has been ingrained that deeply in them..

Even if someone doesn't have a problem with heroin in general not all white suburban pill addicts are willing to go to the hood to cop. Opiate addiction is some dirty shit and alot of people will realize just how fucked there life is when they are copping heroin in the hood as opposed to grabbing a couple pills from their friend down the street.

The Florida attorney general just appointed a "pill mill czar." He was one of the chief architects of the recent legislature regulating pain clinics. Now that this is his only task, dude will be relentless. He lives in Palm Beach County, too, which is really coming down hard on pain clinics.
