I'm new to the forums. I recently decided to quit some of my habits to get prepared for some new life journeys. Trying to stick around for some people who count on me. Tonight was gonna be the last hoorah till I dropped my last pill down the drain. Bummer. Well I can live vicariously through you guys from now on!
 
Welcome to Bluelight! There are many people, like myself, who are here and are recovering/recovered from drug addiction (I bet you can guess what I was addicted to ;)).

As OverDone has pointed out, The Dark Side is a great place to share where you came from and where you are headed in life.

A similar thing happened to my ex-boyfriend when he wanted to quit smoking pot. He had this lovely little glass bong and went to throw it in the garbage bin outside on the street, but then accidentally dropped it and it smashed on the pavement. If that wasn't a symbolic signal that it was time for him to quit smoking then I dunno what is! :D

Awww, he should have given the bong to someone who wanted a free bong.

Hearing about glass breaking always makes me sad, lol.

To me, that is like "I can't bring my cat with me to the dorms, so I am just going to let it outside to fend for itself" - it's like, there is a household with a loving family inside that could use that cat/bong! (I do believe this is the first time I have compared a glass bong to a pet). =D
