What's the physical difference between amphetamines and methamphetamines?

-different long-term side effects
-different euphoria
-different efects

Methamphetamine (singular, not plural) is longer-lasting, more potent by weight, and provides a "smoother" high to many people due to its ability to release serotonin in addition to dopamine and norepinephrine. As it's more fat soluble and a better releasing agent it also is more neurotoxic - especially in large doses or with continuous/binge use.

Cell membranes, and therefore a large portion of the blood-brain barrier are made of lipid bilayers, i.e. fats. Therefore being really fat soluble means methamphetamine enters the brain very quickly.

Methyl (Ch3) - amphetamine. More fat soluable, crosses BBB more effeciently leading to greater effects.
