Now don't get me wrong I am a fan of some Deadmau5 productions, they rock! As for statements about him not doing drugs well come on now...8) I've seen him all skinny as on his youtube videos chain smoking cigarettes. What tobacco isn't a drug? When I was in Canada I remember the cigarette packet warnings saying nicotine was a more addictive drug than cocaine, heroin and others. Also when he was so gone at that party in the US late last year (where he was the main act playing) he was throwing up, collapsed and couldn't play the rest of the show. His media release went something like that he was just overworked and fatigued and needed to rest more.... come on, more likely he got piped (or who knows maybe he just blewout, is GHB and related chems used much in the dance music scene in the US?). I've not seen mates or heard of people in the scene passing out, throwing up and generally violently ill from your general stims like coke or shard/wizz. He'll even DJ's can still mix on MDxx pills although they might get a little slow'n sloppy by the 2nd bic. On the other hand over the last couple of years there's been quite a number of major club gigs and raves I've been to where (with the massive MDxx drought) it's been common place to see people in the bathroom violently hurling non stop and really ill. Generally regular pill poppers are caught so unaware of the piperzine flood. Many have described it as the worst drug experience in their whole experience of their years raving, as well as a number of reported deaths from piperazines worldwide. Hell even a good friend of mine who was importing relatively pure and known dosages of piperazines (just for his own use) was convinced they were pretty safe and fun (despite my warnings), that is until he went to hospital with a resting heart rate of something crazy like 180-200bpm. Not long later another one of his friends he's been importing and doing piperazines with with also checked himself into see the onsite medics or get sent to the hospital. I wish I could say telling the people about the importance of using a test kit works but in all honesty there are many people (including many friends of mine in the scene) who don't care about testing their pills. Somehow they think it won't happen to them till one night they find themselves hugging the the toilet bowl hurling most of the night and feeling like absolute shit often into the next day or two.
