do you say snort or sniff

I say snort because I aint sniffing some cocaine like some cheese I'm sucking that shit quick up my nose.

When typing, 'insufflate'. Otherwise, it's not really a term I say out loud often - I don't really have conversations related to drugs, or 'snorting/sniffing/insufflating' anything at all. However, I guess during the brief periods of time I am hanging out with a fellow addict (yaaay - sarcasm), I would use insufflate or snort - depending.

You're right. It's not something that I ever have to say out loud too often. If I'm speaking to a friend about a substance I've taken recently, and if the circumstances are not clear, then I will say "snort," "rail," or "blow." But aside from that, I'll say "did," and it's clear enough that I snorted/sniffed/railed/blew/etc. the substance.
