suboxone after oxy if not addicted?

In the U.S. we have Buprenex which is an IV formulation. It comes in 0.3mg ampules.

I've never been able to get high from Suboxone. Probably because I was a methadone/heroin addict before being put on it. Once I go down to 1mg of Suboxone I start to feel withdrawals. I was completely off it for 5 days after being put on it 2 years ago. Withdrawals were mild to moderate. It was my muscles that hurt the most.

After stopping suboxone did you use again? If so how long did you stay clean after totally abstaining from it? If you did stay clean, how long di dyour withdrawals last and how long did PAWS last?

I only stayed clean for 5 days, my body hurt and had pretty bad insomnia so I just decided I wasn't ready yet and eventually I ended up staying on it. So I know that withdrawals last at least 5 days. It wasn't as bad as heroin or methadone.

From what I've read on sites like Sub Sux and one friend's personal experience the real WD doesn't start until after the 5th day. Supoosedly it starts getting really bad on day 5 or 6 and continues for up to another 30 days or so. The lethargy last's weeks. For the most part it is considered milder but 5 days off a short acting opiate and you are coming down the home stretch. Another 2-4 weeks of a milder PAWS, when compared to PAWS from suboxone or methadone, and you are out of the woods with the exception of cravings which would probably go on for life no matter what route you take.

That is the reason for my cold turkey or tapering from short acting opiates vs long term use or maintenance using suboxone or methadone. Plus I think I mentioned, I have a concern with the rebound effect of K receptor antagonism and partial agonism of the other receptors when the brain is designed to function on full agonists. There are no studies showing if there is an effect or no effect on the brain using a partial agonist. I wish I bookmarled it but I came across something saying that there is a possiblity it could cause a malfunction of dopeamine release and sensitivity for up to 3 years, and possibly permanently, after discontinuation.

From what I've heard from people the withdrawals just last a week or two. Due to the half-life of Suboxone, the harshest withdrawals would most likely kick in after 3-4 days just like Methadone which has a longer half life. I've already gone through Methadone withdrawals. 3rd day was the worse but it lasted for what seemed forever. I imagine withdrawals of Suboxone would last a couple weeks.

Well from people experiences I have read online I hope that they are the exception even though it is literally hundreds, and your WD is a lot easier than theirs. I have read some that didn't seem too bad but those were few and far between.
