Molly cap tested good but didn't have any effects?

Back around Halloween I picked up some molly caps from a reliable source, they had roughly 100 mg in each. Me, fiance and two friends all took one around 10 pm, none of us had eaten in the past few hours and we all had a very light dinner. We went to a rave and waited a while, one hour passed, none of us felt anything. Two hours passed, none of us felt anything. Three hours passed, none of us felt anything. We wound up staying most of the time because the music was great but none of us felt a damn thing the entire night.

Fast forward to today. Finally got my new test kit and decided to test some of the remaining caps I have. Got a plate, made a small pile from each of the four leftover pills just to make sure I wasn't testing a single good pill while the rest may have been bunk. Put a drop of the marquis on each pile and they all went purple/black immediately and started fizzing. I have experienced this reaction many times and I could not believe what I was seeing.

Why on earth didn't any of us feel these pills? None of us are on meds(as far as I know), none of us had rolled for 3 months to a year prior, none of us had a full stomach.

Is it possible that these were MDEA and we didn't feel it, the caps just did not dissolve or there is another substance that reacts exactly the same as MDxx? Just trying to wrap my head around this as I have never seen anything like this and I am truly puzzled.
 
Hmm... yeah that is weird. I have heard that not all MDMA is created equal, but I don't know enough about chemistry to have any insight. Sounds like good results, maybe MDEA? Maybe poorly synthesized? I have no clue.
 
Eat all four one probably just wasn't strong enough (sadly) and how sure are you that it actually had 100mg in there?

Yeah, i weighed them all. They were all around 120 mg, an empty cap weighs roughly 20mg.
 
If it didnt feel like MDMA then the chances are it wasnt MDMA - even with the reactions. They may have had some MDMA in them or another active substance to trick the testers.

Bad news that though :(

I guess. I just assumed the reaction would have been different if that was the case. If something had 50% filler or even 20% I would have expected the reaction not to be as instantaneous, not fizz so much or look more diluted after.

I had the same issue!!! I knew something was up because it wasn't the same clear glass shard looking stuff it normally is. Looked like chunks of tiny tiny ones smashed together (looked stepped on). One 125mg dose did next to nothing other than noticing something was there. However once that was stepped up to 300+ .... heh. Nope wasn't MDMA, almost positive mdea. had an opiate like feel instead of amp, crazy facial recognition issues like mda/high dose MDMA. No loved up feelings, no euphoria even. Physical feelings were "changed" and I did a lot of physical things I normally do with MDMA... Was like a stoned, sedated version of mda. Also had the time distortion/brain movie/half sleep shit where you start thinking and feel like your dreaming. All of the sudden you're back and double the time went by than you thought and the face in front of you looks like your friend but isn't. Ya. Mdea. I'd bet my pinky.
 
^ did you test it? You described my experience with DXM... I tried 300 mg DXM the other day, and had all the EXACT same feelings you described. Even eye wiggles, but I would get stuck like in a K-whole, with an opiate feeling. It was similar to MDMA actually, reminded me of what ketamine and MDMA would feel like together. I think DXM may be making a comeback.. I read another report this morning that pretty much described DXM to the T.

OP, did the results look like a dark grey/black, or did they have more of a purple-ish tint to them? If they were dark grey/black and smoking, there's a good chance it was. Any smoke? This is a good reason to have more kits...
