[MEGA] Edibles/Oral Cannabis

with firecrackers you ingest solid material plant (unlike canna butters, on you filter all vegetable residuals). This is bad for stomach? Would change something if you boil your weed with water at first? (for remove chlorophyll, etc...)
 
A couple firecracker/oral cannabis questions

Okay so I read the firecracker threads and I'm ready to give it a whirl.

My main concern is that I don't have that 'natural' peanut butter, nor do I have real butter. These are the 3 ingredients I have, and I was wondering if you could recommend which to use, or a combination, and also how much of each to use - for best results:

Non-hydrogenated margarine (fat content: 4g / tbsp)
Extra-virgin olive oil (fat content: 4.5g / tbsp)
Kraft smooth peanut butter (fat content: 8g / tbsp)

I'm assuming go with straight peanut butter? Is 8g/tbsp of fat enough to make this worth it? How much do I use?


Second question - I am a person that is prone to anxiety (panic attacks) with high doses of smoked weed (it is a very uncommon occurrence, maybe twice per year, and I smoke almost daily). I have never done pot orally before. I plan on using 1 gram for my first time. Do you think I have a high risk of anxiety/panic attack? Because if so, I do have benzodiazepines (not prescribed, only used recreationally - I have never had a panic attack from anything but weed before).

8g's should be fine just make sure the weed covers the surface area of the peanut butter and there is a layer of peanut butter between the two layers of weed. and if your daily smoker i wouldn't worry about getting a panic attack. how much weed does it usually take to give you a panic attack?

Well usually when I blaze it's like 3-5 hits of mid grade.

I guess whenever I get boom weed unknowingly and happen to take 6+ hits I'm prone to panic. I had my first panic attack in years a couple weeks ago... right after I bought my first bong (before that I mainly used glass pipes).... Hahah. I got walloped. Oh well though. Funny thing is though I've done tons of strong psychedelics and never had an ounce of anxiety with them, yet I can't handle a lot of weed haha.

Anyways I dosed 1mg of clonazepam just in case. Here we go.

You have room to work with, though, because it generally takes twice the amount of bud to get you high from oral ingestion than it does to get high from smoking (so if you only take several hits to get high when you smoke, you could be good with 0.5g per firecracker).

What you want is a high fat content to make it easier for the psychoactive, fat soluble chemicals in your weed to bind to the fats of whatever medium you're using. Plus, you want it to taste good too. =D

He meant that 8 grams of fat content in the peanut butter would be fine. I did a gram with the peanut butter and it worked great, I got moderate anxiety but quickly quelled that with clonazepam. Most of the high has been enjoyable... the burnout is going to be obliterating though I bet. But the night has just begun...
 
From this experience I have gained real respect for weed. I have smoked it fairly often for a couple years (mostly because my girlfriend loves it, and I love getting high in general, so weed doesn't hurt, even though it's weak imo). The oral high (even though it needed clonazepam to calm anxiety) was definitely way more fascinating than any smoked high I've had. I've always seen weed as mostly useless, especially compared to real tryptamines. I think I will continue to experiment with it orally.

I'd like to note that so far tonight in this combo has involved codeine, caffeine, oral weed, smoked weed, clonazepam (1.5mg so far) and alcohol (no ridiculous amounts of course).

None of this has produced one bad reaction.

Right now I'm glowing, while listening to Slowdive. It's pleasant, as usually I can't find a high useful unless it involves psychedelics or opiates (with or without alcohol).

I'm impressed for sure.

I dont know if its because im only 65kg, but I made firecrackers with mid-grade weed and only needed 0.2g to be fairly fucking high!

I just used a heap of nutella mixed thoroughly with a bit of olive oil, straight in the oven for about 22 mins and that was it!

Have you guys tried having lower doses? maybe the dose response curve is quite flat for oral cannabis? Or maybe the weed I had was just better than I thought?!?!

Try it out but maybe wait a few days? I doubt your tolerance has risen that much but it may have some.

I haven't tried lower doses of Cannabis in food yet.

I just ate herb in food once and that was eating 3.0g or a bit more of schwag on melted cheese on crackers since I figured I'd have to use a lot of herb since it was schwag and it was what was leftover from what I was smoking all that week.

I also remember eating one gram and waiting about 20 mins and thinking "Damn WTF I'm not high yet! I guess I have to eat more!" and then I consumed the rest.

I got very high and at times I forgot I'd taken anything and there was lots of anxiety/confusion at times and I did get sick and had horrible stomach cramps which puking didn't help get rid of.

It was like tripping on a low dose of shrooms but without visuals. I also had times when I was completely unable to move and my body felt like it had all sorts of energy coursing through it. At times it felt like my body was floating and spinning when I'd close my eyes. In the beginning of the night when I was stoned music sounded awesome but towards the end of the night when I was very high and put a CD on it just gave me a headache and didn't sound nearly as good.

At the time I was worried that I wouldn't come down for days since I've heard that can happen from eating a large amount of herb but it didn't happen when I ate it.
 
For me with my 1gram dose of mid-high grade it was just sheer fun and then eventually tired fun. My friend and I played with the cats for like 2 hours I think hahahah. Never at any point did I forget I was on the drug.

Needless to say I was on clonazepam as well so I'm pretty sure nothing /could/ go wrong, haha.
 
What is the minimum amount of butter to an ounce of weed?

Just wondering what is the minimum required amount of butter that is enough to "absorb" an ounce of weed or THC that will definitely get you high. And has anyone considered just mixing the butter in with a milk shake instead of edibles to get more out of it?
 
mixing to a milkshake will NOT get more out.

cooking an ounce of weed into a pound of butter, at a LOW simmer for 3-4 hours will make some very potent butter if its good weed
 
I use as little as possible to completely cover the bud.

Lots of fat in butter, you don't need alot.

I don't mean milkshake and weed, I mean milkshake and cannabutter.
 
are you going to be using the butter to make something else? cause i find using vegetable oil rather than butter to be way easier when making brownies and cookies..
 
Okay. So from everything I learned here, can I now conclude that even though slow, edibles do not just sit in your stomach doing nothing but digesting and then going to the colon where they become waste but that they actually circulate throughout the body and then hit you as hard or harder than smoked THC?
