Using suboxone recreationally?

I have a habit of taking 60-80mg of hydrocodone 3x daily, about every 4 hours. I'll be getting some suboxones later, just to see if their recreational. It's been about 26 hrs since I last used, so I'm looking for a good starting dose and ROA.


I found this little conversion and was wondering if its correct?

4 mg Buprenorphine = ~75 mg Hydrocodone

So seeing as I take 60-80mg of hydrocodone, 4 mg of bupe would be good? Also, should I snort it, or take it sublingually, any input is appreciated
 
I would start at 2mgs snorted with the tolerance you have. Also, give it time to kick in. It lasts very long, but didn't seem to peak when I took it for a couple of hours. I only used it sublingually, but it has a higher BA when snorted.

Also, you might wanna wait a little bit longer before you take it. If you have any of the hydrocodone on your opiate receptors when you take the sub you will go into withdrawals.

By time I get them it will have been 30+ hrs since I took the hydro, I'll be well into the starts of w/d's already wont I?
 
OK, so far I've taken 2mg sublingually, and snorted 4 mg. Am I expecting to much? I feel some what of the warm fuzzy opiate feeling, but it's not as pronounced as the hydro buzz I'm used to. It's been about 70 minutes since I last dosed. Is this it or should I finish off the last 2mg by snorting it?
 
Took the full 8mg tablet. ~2mg sublingual, 6mg snorted. I'm looking fora general time frame for how long it takes to kick in? I feel alright, but it's nothing like the opiate buzz I'm used to, anyone have any input?
 
Don't expect to feel high from Suboxone! Especially if you are taking 75mg Hydrocodone every day. You may feel a lift in your mood, like a mental boost but that is all. The peak isn't really noticeable either, not in my opinion. If you take high doses of opiates daily your not going to feel high, no sir.

I actually average 175-200mg a day when I take hydrcodone. I will say this though, I'm not jammed but I definitely feel some kind of buzz. I have the content feeling in my chest, and pupils are pinpoint. Also, this is probably a given, but my w/d's have subsided =D
 
Theres a cross tolerance than right? So even if you were taking copious amounts of bupe, you wouldn't get high, simply because of your tolerance to those two strong opiates?

Is there a umm.. ceiling? I'm guessing thats what it's called, but you know, after a certain amount of mg's it doesnt matter how much more you take, it will only abosrb that much?
 
Yes, but the ceiling is high. The max prescribed dose is 32mg daily, which is what the ceiling dose is supposed to be, or maybe a bit lower than that.

When I was prescribed suboxone I got high off of it for the first 3 days, then the high greatly diminished. I feel good off of the 8 mg pills. Its not as euphoric, but It is def a good buzz. It does take a while though, maybe up to 3 hours before you feel the full effects.

Edit: Actually the 32mg isn't a ceiling dose, but instead it is the highest dose that is said to have therapeutic value. So it seems similar to a ceiling dose, but isn't.

I see. I was trying to gauge it earlier but really couldn't, and now my girl is looking to try it. When taking it sublingually, how long should it take for you to start to feel it. If its being absorbed into the bloodstream, wont it hit you faster than when you take something orally like hydro?

Also when you take it sublingually, do you swallow the saliva that accumulates?? Do you spit it out? I went the snorting route for most of it, but I don't think my girl will, so I'm trying to figure out the answers to the questions shell have

Than swallow? I thought I read that after leaving the solution in your mouth for a period of time, your supposed to spit it out because the naloxone is all thats left, and that gets absorbed in the intestines?



EDIT: but for the sake of getting high, it is better to snort 2-4mg at a time correct?

For the first question: it doesnt matter if you spit it out or swallow after all the bupe is absorbed; the naloxone is inert.

Second question: Its probably best to snort in 2mg increments for the sake of getting high because 4mg is a lot of pill to snort and if there is to much in your nose it wont all absorb and will result in a huge drip that will waste it. Or you can do it like me but most people wont. I snort it, then when i get some drip, i hock it up and catch it before it goes down and get it under my tongue for maximum absorption. :)
