After years of searching and trying to find the root of my anxiety and depression problems I have finally worked it out.
I have the obbsessional end of OCD. OCD without overt compulsions.

Tryptamines have been well documented as helping OCD and my personal experience has been that acid and shrooms make a huge though temperary difference to my mental health.

Is there any tryptamine I could take that may help that I could manage the tollenece with?

There aren't really any psychedelics you can take on a regular basis without gaining super hardcore tolerance.

AMT has been used in the past as an anti depressant in the soviet union. If there is anything that you could take day after day, try AMT. Maybe 2.5-3 mgs in the morning.

AMT is also a stimulant, so maybe that wouldn't be so good for OCD. There is lots of reading to do in the AMT thread concerning people taking it in such low doses.

My feelings are that AMT seems to be best for lazy-sloth type depression.

Keep in mind aMT was taken off the market due to toxicology concerns. So using every day might not be a great idea.

DMT (and possibly also 5-MeO-DMT) seems to be usable via smoking day-after-day, perhaps because the very short duration precludes any development of tolerance. This may generalize to smoking other psychedelics which have a very short duration via this route, such as the other 5-MeO-tryptamines.

There exist reports of mescaline usage on a semi-daily basis by Native Americans, but it's hard to get mescaline in sufficient quantity to attempt that, unless you're a member of the Native American Church.

LSD can be effective for OCD when used once every month or two with a decent dose. The beneficial effects can last for up to a few months after a single dose. I have heard of similar effects with psilocin/psilocybin.

there was a study on psilocybin & OCD not that long ago. Here's a link to a video of a presentation regarding that study. Its been a little while since i watched it, but i believe the theory involves 5-HT2c agonism. Also, 1-methyl-psilocin has a higher affinity for 5-HT2c than it does 5-HT2a and has been shown to attenuate symptoms in the rodent model of OCD. Dunno how far its been pursued though.

I'm not sure whether the positive benefits of tryptamines translate to small regular every day doses. I think part of the reason they work so well is because you're taking a big dose at irregular intervals.

I don't think tryptamines are for this purpose. OCD, IMO, is something we all have to different degrees. Whether it is always taking the 4th cigarette out of the package first all the time, walking over sidewalk cracks, or full blown having to turn on the lights 60 times before entering a room. Everone has this to some extent. I have never met anyone that didn't have some wierd ritual or act they perform. :)

Salvia has been the best medicine to iron out the wrinkles in the brain. I had made a post on another forum years ago about Salvia and OCD. I do not suffer form it, but noticed it halted some strange looping thought patterns for a few days after a use. Maybe small, not tripping doses could work a few times a week.

Dale Pendell writes about the great perspective Salvia can give in the afterglow. It really puts all thoughts back into the nice compartments they need to be in. And anything outside of that seems to be a "practical waste of time".

wasn't that aET? i think aMT was taken of the market because it had a high abuse potential:D

wikipedia is limited

either way you should be carefull taking aMT everyday as it is an addictive drug

They both had the same concerns, but aET's is probably more toxic. I still wouldn't want to do aMT every day.

After posting on this forum last night, the idea came into my mind to ingest in a small dose of 4-aco-dmt. So ingested in 5mg's after smoking a bowl of purple kush.

I fell asleep before it fully kicked in so i started to dream trip which was wild. I thought i was a key board getting typed on, which startled me so i popped awake, and couldnt fall asleep for many hours after that.

Every thought that manifested its self, was taken head on. I was able to thin clearly around why i was feeling each feeling and worked my self around them.

The last few weeks have been very stressful, confusing. Due to the fact i might be moving 2000 miles back home again.

I woke up this morning feeling very very refreshed, and stress relieved. I felt like i had everything figured out with no worrys. My mind state is very positive and bright. My outlook to the future is beautiful.

I recomend a low dose for stress relief.

I thought AMT was taken off the market because they realised it could be used as a psychedelic?

Thanks everyone for the replies and links.
Now that I finally know what I am fighting I feel I have real hope for the first time in ages.

All this time I thought it was endogenous depression/anxiety when it has been compulsive rumination about anxious and sad feelings all along.

I am not sure where to start on this new journey but thanks

"I have the obbsessional end of OCD. OCD without overt compulsions."

What does this mean?

Lets not forget the 5-HTP super-trip...
Do it the right way and you shall get a constant never-ending psychedelic trip
equiv. to about 10-20ug of LSD.
