You know how on the forum view for a sub-forum, where you see all the threads?

There is a column for icons?

Check this out...

Scroll down to Half Life Series

- You see this on the first post!

What gives?

The thread is one that hes worked really hard on and put a lot of effort in to, so I'm sure hes trying to keep it as clean looking as possible, which would include no "last edited by..." tags ;)

Thanks fizzle, you know what I'm talking about. :D

I could always suggest to the S&G mods to copy the thread already in S&G so as to remove the links, but that's just such a waste of time so I figured there might be some way to bring the icon onto the S&G page without having to edit the first post of the thread.

I just played with the one you have in the HR workshop, it was doing the same thing there, where the icon was in the title in the thread, but not showing up in the forum view. I was able to add the icon without having "last edited by" tags :) I can do that to the one in S&G if you'd like.

Instead of editing the post, I can use the "edit thread" thing in the Thread Tools drop down menu. It'll show that its been edited when you view the edits made to the thread, but it wont show in the thread, and I dont think members can view the thread edits, therefore leaving your thread looking perfectly clean :)

It should show up now :)

Edit: Now the question just remains, why was it doing that in the first place? And it happened to both threads! :?

They can edit their own posts but not threads, so he could have edited that post and done it himself, but then he'd have the "edited by" tags. Since it was in a forum other than his own, he as a mod doesnt have the "edit thread" option that I was able to use, which lets me edit the title without leaving the "edited by" tags. :)

Just fyi for anyone else whos wondering, this only works on things that effect the thread as a whole, like the title or icons. No one can edit your specific post (even mods) without leaving the 'edited by' tags, so dont worry, no one can go around and edit your stuff without your knowledge :)

Wow, what an easy solution! Thanks Fizzle; your moderating skills never cease to amaze me! I constantly learn new things about Bluelight's moderator tools on a daily basis because of people like you (also felix for instance). :)

Yeah, now I guess the question is - how/why did that happen in both threads originally? I'm pretty perplexed by this myself.

thanks fizzle that explained that then, Also sorry for not noticing you're a mod C.H!

LOL No problem! =D
