Cocaine What's that black liquid that sometimes fills up cocaine users mouths..?

I've hung around this close friend of my close friends' and he's a coke addict. I remember he was rolling HARD one time (completely high out of his mind, on a gookton of blow and molly) and i was rollin on molly at the time so i remember not being coherent enough (and kinda scared) to ask what was happening.
He kept spitting out this really dark liquid (wasn't drugs) that was filling up in his mouth and getting all over his teeth and gums. He looked repulsed like it tasted horrible. people who had done coke before (couple dealers as well) were feeling bad for him and comforting him that he was having a bad case of something.
I asked my friend who has experience with blow and he said it's something your body releases when you do a lot of cocaine, maybe something to do with your spinal fluids?
Anyway i'm really confused and wondering what had happened, thanks for your input :I!

I've done lots of cocaine(or so i thought) in my day and never experienced or heard of this.

color me curious.
 
Maybe it was blood and it looked really dark b/c it was dark out and your were high so you couldn't recognize it? I know you can cough up blood from crack/cocaine drying up your lungs and shit. Maybe he blew too much and tore something in his nasal cavity?
 
if i ever had black shit fill my mouth i would do 3 things..
1) brush my teeth, tongue , my entire mouth and make sure no black was left (if i could help it)..
2) not do anymore coke
3)CALL MY DR.
 
That kinda happened to me a couple of times. But with meth, not coke. Every time I would get it from just this one guy I knew, my mouth would fill up with some gnarly grayish-black shit. I kept spitting out this stuff(no taste or smell to it) and would marvel over it's disgusting nature. Then I would check out the status of my grill via the mirror and the surface of my teeth would be covered with this dark gray slimey membrane.

I would brush and brush and brush my teeth and it would re-develop again and again. That shit was gross looking.

Needless to say, I kept buying shit from him because I am stoopid....

I get this when I'm on MDMA/similar. It's horrible...Gets all over my gums, teeth and lips, and it's more of a paste. I also pull out whole furballs and clumps of material from my mouth. It's as though my mouth is so dry it's actually full of god knows what....hair, wool, cotten. Makes me look like a dead person.

I think it's what happens if you have a completely dry mouth for hours on end...But I have no idea why saliva turns into a thick black paste.
 
I got that last time I was rolling hard. Had 3 QUALITY pills, and needless to say I saw off my fucking face :D
But nothing like you described... I didn't even notice it until I saw the pictures the next day, just had a TINY amount of black stuff (just looked like dirt really) on the sides of my mouth. If I was actually spitting large amounts of the stuff out I would FREAK. The girl I was getting with didn't seem to notice it though lol
 
We need more people to describe this in good detail. It seems that a few people are talking about different things.

MACstar (or anyone else), did you use for multiple days in a row when this happened, or would it happen with a single usage?
 
IMO Blood is the only possible culprit here if we are talking about a very dark fluid being coughed or spit up.

The human body does not generate anything else that even remotely fits this description (Yes, feces are dark, but I highly doubt that he is spitting up feces).

People can often forget how dark blood can be- it often is so dark that it can not even really be described as red.

And regarding spinal fluid-no way. Spinal fluid is not dark. It is clear/yellowish.

Regardless.....time to see a doctor.
 
the more i think about it the more i think its gotta be blood. when blood dries out and clots it turns very dark and would probably appear black at nighttime. possibly from chewing on the inside of your cheeks would cause them to become raw, bleed, dry, form clotted nasty black stuff.
 
I think it could also be some kind of decay from chronic dry mouth brought on by stimulant abuse (probably over long periods). I'm also interested to get a solid answer here! We may have to bump this to ADD...
