A little help please.

Ok forum, I take about 10-15 10/325 perocets a day. Recent my friend came around with oxycontin 40mg. I know that the 10mg perocets at immediate release tables and oxycontin is extended release. I have been take 10mg perc for the past 3 years. So I was able to build up high tolerance. Ok so what Im asking is if it is ok to take a 40mg oxycontin? I dont think alcohol or anything like that. Just the percocets. Any tips forum? Ok, um should I just take oxycontin instead of percs with APAP?

oxycontin and percocet are both the same exact opioid - Oxycodone. Whatever your dose is for percs it's the same dose for oxycontin.

Also that's a lot of tylenol you've been taking! Have you been cold water extracting? Please don't swallow those pills whole anymore if that's what you were doing. Tylenol is horrible for your liver in large doses. A cold water extraction is simple and fast, and will even make it hit you faster, it's a triple win!

also In the future please direct simple dosage questions to 'Basic Drug Discussion'. 'OtherDrugs' is for intermediate drug questions discussion. ;)

if you are usually taking 100-150mg of oxycodone instant release, why would you be worried about 40mg extended release? there is only 40mg total in the pill.. how would it not be safe with a tolerance like yours? even crushed up to make it instant release it will still only be 40mg total.. so you would need at least 2 to get high, if that's your intention.


ALSO like case said.. please don't be taking huge amounts of APAP.. that shit is hard on the liver and causes many deaths.

Mind explaining to me this cold water extraction? I never heard of it.

So pretty much its a extended release of perocet? The same exact thing just extended release? And I know about the APAP but diddnt know there was something I could do about it. Case said something about cold water extraction.

Yikes! The acetaminophen in the percocets is no good, my man! I bet you will like the oxycontin, and your liver will thank you for it. It is the same substance, essentially, one being instant release and the other extended-release, but the oxycontin has no acetaminophen in it.

If the oxycontin is the new formula, inscribed with OP on one side and 40 on the other, then you will need to take it as-is, and that will release 10 mg of oxycodone every four hours. I believe that is how it works, but I could be wrong. In that case, one 40mg oxycontin may not do very much for you if you have been taking 10-15 10/325 percocets a day.

If the oxycontin is the old formula, inscribed with OC on one side and 40 on the other, then you can crush the pill to make it instant release. In that case, you can take a little more or a little less depending upon how much oxycodone you would like to ingest. For example, crushing half of the pill and parachuting it would put 20mg of oxycodone into your blood all at once, and that might make sense for you if the 10mg percocets are not doing it so much for you anymore. Does that make sense?
 
I love snorting Oxycodone. I do not know why but for me 5 mg snorted feels like 20 mg orally for the same period of time. Maybe it's because of my extremely large nose and nostrils idk lol?
