Strongest opioid and Opiates

I do believe he is right with the carfentanyl. its either that or sufentanyl, those are the strongest i believe

Morphine is not stronger than oxy, at least not orally, which is the normal way to measure these things. Fent is very different from morphine (or anything else really). And oxy stronger than fentanyl? You are wrong by at least an order of magnitude.8o

wtf?!...

oxy is nowhere close to fentanyl in terms of strength(potency by weight, painkilling power, and sedative effects). some would also say fentanyl is more euphoric than oxy.

imo oxy is about as euphoric, but not even as close in terms of other opioid effects(pain relief, sedation, etc). fentanyl is considered one of the most potent opioids ever.

oxy is dosed in milligrams while fentanyl is dosed in the micrograms and in order to get fentanyl you usually have to be literally dying.

It is also given for breakthrough pain to people on longer lasting opiates. Surprisingly common where I live. No idea why. I'm also curious about nicomorphine. You come up with some exotic stuff.

i would compare the high of I.V.'ed nicomorphine somewhere between I.V.'ed oxymorphine or hydromorphine and I.V.'ed heroin. i suppose one could compare the effects to fentanyl as well due to the powerful sedative effects, although fentanyl is more potent and has a bit less euphoric of a rush.

to pretty much sum it up nicomorphine has the euphoric rush of oxymorphine and hydromorphine but also has more pronounced sedative/depressant effects. soon after shooting it while the warm rushing opiate euphoria was still going strong i started to have a hard time breathing and was really struggling to stay awake and nodding hard.

while i think its a wonderful opiate i can see why it isn't used in medicine in the U.S., it seems pretty dangerous to be "messing around" with.

i tried it while in Russia, and its schedule 1 here so i highly doubt it will ever turn up on the street in the U.S.

if you're looking for a good "exotic" opiate i would suggest dihydromorphine over nicomorphine. the effects of dihydromorphine are a bit closer to heroin and feels less dangerous than nicomorphine.

hydromorphine is more potent than oxycodone by weight(mg to mg) but oxycodone imo gives a better high(oraly).

hydromorphine really is only worth shooting imo, and because i'm trying to stay away from needles these days i don't pay too much attention to hydromorphine.

i've heard of fentanyl being used for severe chronic pain, but i'd think you'd have to be in serious agony and have a lot of other painkillers fail to get such a powerful narcotic.

what is the cause of your chronic pain?

also, why were you not a fan of fentanyl? was it too sedating or somehow not provide proper pain relief?

Dilaudid comes in 2, 4 & 8mg (there is extended release that come in much higher dosages)
Oxycodone comes in anywhere from 5-80mg

there is an extended release form of hydromorphine and i've heard that one of the doses is 18mg.

you're right about oral hydromorphine, oxycodone is better.

imo the only way to get a good high out of hydromorphine is to shoot it.
